The PSONE 20th Anniversary BLACK version theme seems to have an issue. It won't save when selected on the Vita or on Vita 3K. Any help in checking the issue ? The regular grey version works fine.

Someone could create a completely black or white background and have the unlock page have the PS logo and below it say Playstation Vita. The color of the logo and letters depends on the color of the page. It is something simple with the background. I think it would be used a lot for white or black PS Vitas (there is already a similar one in red)

I submitted a new version (1.02) of my theme 'Since I Left You', but it appears separately in the Custom Themes Manager, while in the browser, it doesn't even appears or update the latest version (1.01).

Updates needs to be manually checked and moderated before to replace the original theme, this to avoid any unwanted destructive actions by malicious users. Until then, the submitted update will not appear in repository main page or API, just like any new unmoderated submission

Got it, the first time I submitted a new version it was pretty quick, the second time it took longer and I was fine with that. but, when I saw the front page in the Custom Theme Manager with the duplicated theme, I was afraid that something had gone wrong or I had screwed up.

Hello! I have a question. I'm new to vita hacking and making themes. I recently made 2 but noticed the backrounds aren't working because of bit rate issues. I now fixed this issue but my non working themes are still on the website. Can I take those down or replace them with the fixed ones somehow? Or do I just also upload the new ones. I did the submit new version option but I'm not quite sure how it works since it seems to have just published a new theme.

Hello, you can submit a new version for any theme by using the specific button you can find on the top-right of the theme's details page:

The submitted update will replace totally the old theme in the repository, so there is no need to delete the old one and submit a new one ;)

Also, a couple of tips for the future: please remember to change the "m_contentVer" field in the theme.xml when you make an updated version, so that the user can easily understand what version he's using ;)
About the image issues, remember to compress the final PNG images by using any tool (or just use https://tinypng.com/ ), this way the final images will have a smaller size (in fact there is a size limit that the images can have for the PSVita to load them correctly) 👍

PSVita themes (both official and custom ones) can not change those two icons, you need a manual hack into the internal database to change them

I tested it before submitting, then made some small changes to have 100% validation without testing it again and just found out it no longer works properly (the background images are not showing up)

Not sure if this problem is just me doing something wrong, but when I change the images to the recommended 960x512, they no longer appear 😅

It's probably just a compression issue, the PSVita doesn't load the images when they are heavier than a certain size (usually around half a megabyte). I suggest to always use https://tinypng.com/ to compress PNG images in custom themes, so as to have smaller images without too much visible loss. About your request, are you sure you want I delete it? Why not to just submit an update that fixes the problem?

Furthermore, I would also like to invite you all to reflect on the fact that themes with large black blocks on everything are not exactly the height of beauty to look at, so maybe, even if I shouldn't be the one to suggest it since you are circumventing a rule this way xD, why not try to create "normal" themes (with no porn content at all) instead of fully censored ones and simply put the link in some background image saying there is a NSFW version of the theme? This way, with the same result, in the repository there will be a still enjoyable theme ;)
