Kudos to Cuomo for showing competence during this. In the first bill that the republicans worked on there was also a minimum income limit. I think somewhere around 30k.

When you live a long time like I have you see a lot of disturbing things but this virus /economic melt down crisis is the worst thing that I have ever seen.
Nothing else comes even close.
I hope that all of our leaders realize that we are in for a long battle here.
I am impressed with the governors like Cuomo and DeWine... They seem really pro active and well informed. Maybe the state and local officials will get us through this. The Congress needs to act swiftly too. I don't have faith in Trump. Just that simple.

95% of the time you can get away with an incompetent joke as president. However, Trump surrounded himself with extraordinarily weak Cabinet members and then had a Senate majority leader give up on the Senate being a co-equal branch of government. So, with a weak supporting cast and a castrated Congress, the 5% of the time hit where you need a competent president. A perfect storm. This is not going to end well.

I agree with what you write. During Reagan's final 2 1/2 years as president he was not actively involved because of dementia. However, he surrounded himself with pretty solid people and Congress did their jobs. The public did not miss the fact that we had a mostly AWOL president. Those conditions aren't present with Trump.
