Very impressive & useful!
I did not find La Casa en Mango Street very difficult & also have El Principito on my shelf to read soon. I recently read El Enigma de Constanino El Grande (historical fiction about emperor constanine & loved it! I actually enjoyed the process of reading it more than the book itself. But it was a challenge. I wonder how it compares & I want to continue to read more difficult things. Don Quixote in Spanish is goals for me

Interesting! Thanks for putting this together and sharing it. How about Aura and La cabeza de la hidra, both by Carlos Fuentes? (I just finished the first--my first novela in Spanish--and am about to begin the second.)

Thanks for the recommendations Patrick, I'll check them out and look at adding them to the analysis. I hadn't heard of Carlos Fuentes before, though having just now read his wiki page I don't know how I missed him!

Very cool article, Nick! Thanks for featuring "Tsunami"!
I think it would be interesting to cross-reference all this data with one (or more) Spanish frequency list. That could be another metric to take into consideration.

Fantastic job!

Good idea Paco, a metric like "Percentage of X Frequency List Covered" (I'll have to think of a snappier title) for each book could be very interesting.
