Google is biased. I just googled 'did oTrump win in a landslide 2016' and every result for 2 pages was a liberal outlet, reporting 'nope' 'false''blah blah...so having over 70 more electoral votes *isn't* a landslide now?

This got me curious, so I googled 'why does google give results from liberal outlets' AND EVERY RESULT WAS A LIBERAL OUTLET claiming google doesn't favor liberals. I found this article on PAGE THREE!

There is some bias bullshit going on that i have to dig and dig for any article not coming from a left leaning news outlets.

I will fully admit that from 2001-2016 I was a liberal, so maybe the algorithm has me locked in...but all of my internet activity of late has been learning more about Republicans, centrism, libertarians and/or about liberal bias, identity politics on the left...for 2 years now. I would think the Google algorithm would know I no longer trust liberal media and I much prefer conservative and centrist outlets.

The only bias on the right is for TRUTH.

Basically, this whole Google search "study" cited in the hearing relies on the idea the NY Times and the Washington Post are extreme far-left outlets.

Attisson is herself biased-works for Right-leaning Sinclair Media, and her chart is similarly biased, for example listed Reason as a dead center source when it is Libertarian, and so forth. By charting all mainstream media to the Left she guarantees that the bulk of media coverage will fall to the left. This is just garbage in, garbage out in terms of analysis.

There is nothing "centrist" about Reuters. In fact, they fabricate news even more often than CNN. CNN "interprets" news from a left-wing perspective. Reuters actually fabricates "news".
Also, only the WSJ editorial page can be considered conservative - the rest of the paper is decidedly liberal.

What a joke. All of the search engines are biased now. Liberal owned and operated. I see it every single day. Search results that one year ago would yield at least a few conservative views and coverage are now gone or pages away from the actual search. I find my news in other ways now.

Look at the ones who have a monopoly of the media. There is your answer.

The fact that this article is the first thing to come up for the Google search "Is google biased" is kind of ironic.

I made a tongue in cheek cartoon about Hillary saying for voters to text their votes - as a joke. Twitter banned me for life and Buzzfeed did a story featuring me the night before the election. Shows me first hand how fake the news is, I had less than ten followers , I wasn't influencing anything. Google my name for news story from Buzzfeed on Nov 7 2016, it's on there for life with my pic and full name. I made one funny tweet on Hillary's twitter and banned for life, put on national fake news, and audited by IRS shortly after.

Even if you type in Hillary is a criminal , 80% of results are discussing why Trump is a criminal. Is this how liberals are going to win the country over? By manipulating and dumbing down Americans?

I noticed that Google produces left-leaning results when searching under "abortion" or politics/politicians in general. Admittedly, they must be brilliant to have been able to create an algorithm that generates mostly left-leaning results. Moreover, they have a monopoly because they frankly produce the best results. It's rare for an alternate search engine to generate better results. Unfortunately.

Very unscientific but surely convenient for you. How many articles were put out by each outlet with word Trump in their AdWords? Would need results per story created. Do you live in a region dominated by the left? Then check again in a GOP dominated region in South.

Try search without a user signed in. Search engines give customized results based on what you have seen before. Part of the problem pushing the left and right into their radical vacuum bubbles. My search and hard core rightly coworker search very different, as was search from New chrome user not signed in.

My search in South has plenty right wing sites in first 2 pages. Newsbuster garbage was 3rd on my 1st page. Yuck
