We would love to do this! Cycling around cities is quite great to see more things than when you walk and vice versa when you are in a car! Great photos, really makes us want to do the same as you did!

Many thanks Mimi and Mitch. I am glad that you liked it. You are so right, by bike you can see so many different places that you wouldn't see if you'd just go by your car or bus.

Marissa Abao • 7 years ago

This was a nice experience! Did you have companions or just by yourself? I like the places that you have explored. They have beautiful sceneries. I would probably bring some snacks if ever I'd do this.

Paulina On the road • 7 years ago

Many thanks Marissa. Haha if I take snacks, I will be eating all time long. So I just preferred to take anything and focus on the cycling. I did it all alone, otherwise I would be distracted. Again ;)

Oh Eastern Luxembourg looks utterly charming. Especially for exploring on a bike. It's so much fun exploring a city on a different mode of transport like a bike.

Paulina On the road • 7 years ago

Many thanks Jean. Luxembourg is much more than it's capital and banks. There are so many things to do, especially if you enjoy hiking or biking.

I am delighted to see that even a small country like Luxembourg
has so much to offer. I love discovering a new country on cycle. I did a
cycling trip in Bhutan last year and totally loved it.

Paulina On the road • 7 years ago

Many thanks Abhinav! Wow cycling through Bhutan sounds amazing! I would love to do that. I guess I have to put it on my bucket list ;)

I just got back from 5 days in Luxembourg and I loved it. It is such a beautiful country. I did 22km of route 2 of the Mullerthal route starting in Echternach and finishing in Hesberg before catching the bus back to Echternach and having dinner there. It is a beautiful part of the country and I saw quite a few cyclists that day too. Am sure I will be back to explore more and maybe next time I can have a go at one of the cycle routes rather than hiking :-)

Hi Clare! That is so funny that you have been in Luxembourg only recently! Congrats on you for your decision to stay more than just a day to see the capital. Echternach is my hometown and I really, really hope you had a good time there and that you had a delicious dinner. Let me know if you come back :) Did you visit all these when in Echternach? https://www.paulinaontheroa...

I didn't see the lake or the orangery or the parades, but saw the other things and a few point of the city as I hiked out of town on the trail.

Paulina On the road • 7 years ago

Oh so cool! You have to come back then for the parades :) This year it is on the 6 of June :)

Too many people who visit Luxembourg only focus on Luxembourg City (myself included!) but there's so much more than that. It looks like such a gorgeous country, although I'm not sure my legs would be able to deal with a 43km bike ride! 4.3km maybe haha.

Paulina On the road • 7 years ago

Many thanks Rhiannon. Hahaha me too, I had to shorten the 43km. I guess you have to come back then to Luxembourg and visit all the surroundings ;)

James Smith • 7 years ago

I was surprised how big Luxembourg was and couldn't have imagined a 43 km bike ride was possible before going! I don't think I'd have been strong enough to resist the temptation to eat coffee and cake, or at least cake! You took some wonderful pictures on this Panorama cycling route through Eastern Luxembourg.

Paulina On the road • 7 years ago

Many thanks James! Ha I am happy to show that Luxembourg is not all about money and its capital. There are so many things to do, especially if you enjoy hiking and biking.

Natasha • 7 years ago

Wow! We are recently back from The Canaries too. Your pictures remind me a lot of my hometown, walkerburn in Scotland

Paulina On the road • 7 years ago

May thanks Natasha, that is funny that Luxembourg reminds you of your native country Scotland :)

Such a peaceful, romantic and beautiful place. I have not been to Luxembourg yet (shame for me as a German), but I plan to make at least a short trip this year there. I love your photos, they give such a nice and gentle atmosphere, make me want to go there immediately.
And yes, I can imagine, by bike this is a perfect route to discover.

Paulina On the road • 7 years ago

Many thanks! If you're German, you should be here in very few time? There are so many things to do here, especially if you enjoy hiking and biking.
