Tenerife has always been such a beautiful place on my list to visit. I would especially enjoy seeing the Dragon tree! I love anything to do with old trees and being 1000, that would complete my dream to visit this place. It truly looks like a photographer's dream with such beautiful scenery.

Thanks a lot Janine. Yes you are absolutely right, Tenerife has so many photogenic places. Especially the 100 year old tree is a very popular photo motive :)

This place looks beautiful! I hadn't even heard of it before I don't think. I especially like the pic of Bodegon Plaza - it looks like the perfect spot to grab lunch. Adding this to my list!

Thanks a lot Christie. You are absolutely right, Tenerife is beautiful. Many just visit the south coast for beach& sun but the north coast holds some hidden gems like Garachico :)

Tenerife... oh I've had this on my bucket list for a very long time. It is beautiful as can be. I love that there is also a laid back vibe to it so you can enjoy and relax!

I'd love to visit Tenerife. I have a friend who used to live there (before I knew her) and she always told great stories from her time there. It looks beautiful too. Even with the gloomy weather :)

Paulina On the road • 7 years ago

Thanks a lot Kristine. I can imagine why she only has good stories to be told ;) People are so kind, the food is amazing, infinite hiking options, and the weather is (almost) always sunny :)

Even with the overcast weather, it still looks beautiful here. I too am curious about that wooden sculpture of a giant lizard that may or may not be about to attack the plaza!
You write your articles in English and Spanish too, that's dedication!

Thanks a lot :) I loooved the wooden lizard on the plaza. it was some kind of urban art project. a really nice contrast with the plaza in colonial style. do you speak spanish as well?

It looks awesome, love dfscovering random art like that while travelling!
Ah, unfortunately not yet. I'm for South America in October though so I have my training wheels on with duolingo! :)

That dragon tree is awesome! What a cool spot. I am loving those balconies and natural swimming pools.

Paulina On the road • 7 years ago

Thanks a lot Jennifer. The dragon tree is one of the major attractions of Tenerife

I am very intrigued by the dragon tree. What does dragon sap taste like? Can you compare it to anything?

Paulina On the road • 7 years ago

Thanks a lot Suzanne. It tasted a bit like resin... if you ever tried that :) They said that it is really healthy.

It never rained in Tenerife island for two months? Wow, that is a long time. Swimming in the natural pools in Garachico sounds amazing on a nice day of course without the rain :-) I love road trips especially to new places though sounds like yours was a bit of an adventure :-)

Thanks a lot Mel. Yes, for me as well, being from a rather rainy country (Luxembourg) it was rather strange to see no clouds during 2 months haha
