I love Algarve and there are so many places to choose from to stay there. Quinta Do Lago looks like a great apartment hotel to stay for a week. I love the interiors of the place and your photos are gorgeous.

Thank you so much sweetheart for your comment. Algarve is just the ideal place to enjoy the first spring or summer vibes. Quinta do Lago CC was like a home away from home from which you could explore all the beautiful surroundings and the national reserve of Ria Formosa.

What a beautiful hotel and so peaceful in the winter. And all that beach just for you! I love traveling during the off season especially when the weather is still so beautiful. Of course, it does have the drawbacks of some things not being open, but still you normally get to experience a more authentic feel of the area since it's low on tourist.

Many thanks dear Heidi for your sweet comment. Indeed traveling off-season brings a lot of advantages. Besides lower prices and empty beaches, I really like the fact that spring already arrived in Algarve. To the extend what we experienced, all the things were open... except for the pool and the pool bar :)

Some great photos. I spend a lot of time on the Algarve for holidays growing. Especially Quinta do Lago. Probably stayed here or very nearby :)

This is my first time hearing about Algarve, but hearing you describe it as the "place of eternal spring" makes me want to visit ASAP! I'm always counting down the days until spring during the winter. The Quinta Do Lago Country Club offers so many different amenities and features! I love how sustainable and eco-friendly the accommodation is. Seems like the off season is the best time to visit, will be sure to add Algarve to my list of Portugal cities to visit.

Dear Kim many thanks for your sweet comment. Yes indeed Algarve, the Southern part of Portugal is a great getaway during the winter months as temperatures are mild and the beaches are still not overcrowded. The Quinta do Lago CC is surrounded by a natural reserve which is a bird sanctuary... you'll love the long walks to the beach along the marshlands.

What a stunning property, it would be a real delight to stay here. Love the fact they have both indoor and outdoor pools. Located so close to the beach is definitely a plus point of Quinta do Lago Country Club!

Thank you so much for your sweet comment Suma. Indeed Algarve in spring is the perfect getaway as places are still not overcrowded. The Quinta do Lago CC was just a home away from home with their cozy apartments. During these days the beach is the perfect place to walk. Are you considering to visit the Algarve?

Love your skirt with the red flowers!! But more to the point, the Algarve in the off-season still looks so beautiful. We love to stay in apartment-style homes whenever we travel as opposed to hotel or B&B rooms when we can, as they offer so much more comfort and flexibility, so this looks like a great option to us! I agree that a longer stay is better in these kinds of situations--at least a week, and maybe even two!

Many thanks for your kind comment Kate. Oh yes indeed... 2 weeks in sunny Algarve sounds like heaven to me! I usually don't stay that much in apartments when traveling, but Quinta do Lago CC definitely convinced of the opposite. It's a great feeling to have a home away form home from which you can explore the surroundings.

I did not know that Algarve enjoys such a beautiful weather even during the winter months, when the rest of Europe is gloomy and cold. Your pictures are amazing and inviting, the best thing being that it looks so empty. Off-season means less crowds and that's the best time to go anyplace. Also, the Lago Country Club sounds like the perfect choice for a beach side place to relax.

Paulina On the road • 6 years ago

Thank you so much dear Medha for your kind comment. Indeed Algarve during was a very rewarding trip, as at that time of the year, the area already is sunny and first flowers are blossoming. Quinta do Lago CC was the perfect base to explore the beauty of the natural reserve Ria Formosa, one of the most famous places for birdwatching in Europe

I keep hearing on how beautiful Algarve is and your photos have proved it to me. I also like to visit destinations off season, so that I can get the entire place to myself. Quinta do Lago country club looks gorgeous, especially with the modern design and bright colors. It's great that they offer apartments, so that the entire family can enjoy enough space to feel comfortable.
