Amazing stuff. Happy to help. I just got an old SX 70 from a friend, and am dying to control the shutter speed more. I can do software, printed circuit boards, and other things. Let me know!

Well, in case you might imagine that interest is waning. No, not here in North America!
I have visited your site several times and now have a small collection of dysfunctional SX-70's sitting ready to modify.
I'm also working on some Instax film mods.... but that's another story!
Keep up the good work

I still have my SX-70 Sonar that I picked up cheap...with intentions of OpenSX70 mod...but will gladly wait for the "product" via Kickstarter. As for faster shutter, bokah and such...I would say for folks that want such things...find a Polaroid 110, Polaroid 600SE (or even easier I suppose the RZ67 route) and get one of the various polaroid backs. Though obviously the handy folding SX-70 magic is lost. haha.

Love the post Joaquin!. It is so exciting and insightful seeing how many people have been touched, and driven to give a second life to this beautiful camera. It was a great camera back in the 70's and it continues to be thanks to the ingenuity that you and likewise collaborators have. This not only expands the life it has, but also as long as instant film is around we will be able to load up a pack of film, and preserve those precious moments. Thanks to You and everyone involved in OpenSX70 Project. - Erick
