They have nothing to virtue signal about. The Dems are responsible of all of the woes suffered by blacks. They fought to keep slavery in the Civil War, founded the Klan, supported segregation and fought the Civil Rights Act tooth and nail. All along it's been the GOP defeating them at every turn. Even now there's a resurgence of segregation within their ranks that they call progress; after Rosa Parks went to prison over it and MLK lost his life put an end to it.

It's been >150 years and they haven't learned a thing about racial relations.

On a side note; they also imprisoned Japanese Americans during WWII.

The reason the Democrats have gotten away with their narrative for as long as they have is because Lyndon B. Johnson (D) signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (a piece of legislation that almost no Democrats in Congress voted for). His stated reason for signing the legislation was to keep blacks (he used a different more offensive word) on the plantation voting for Democrats for the next 200 years.
