A dream come true!

Only small groups are allowed and no more than 20 for the day.

Polar Park is a wildlife park in the municipality of Bardu in
Troms county, Norway. The park opened on 18 June 1994, displaying
animals in their natural habitat. With only 12 enclosures on 114 acres,
the park has the world's biggest area per animal ratio.

Wolf Lodge is nestled in the wolf enclosure of Polar Park, the
northernmost animal park in the world. Located high above the Arctic
Circle in Norway, untouched nature and exquisite wildlife stretches as
far as the eye can see.

You will revel in the unique feeling of being watched by curious amber
eyes as wolves circle the private property, mere inches away. Dedicated
animal keepers will even guide you into the enclosure, where you will
meet these extraordinary creatures face-to-face, making for a truly
unforgettable, life-altering experience

I hope these girls never get separated. Like three peas in a pod!

This is the most awesome picture!!! I love them. I just sent a letter petitioning to keep Gray Wolves as the Endangered Species Act. I will always fight for them. They are Essential indeed.

Kara Harding • 6 years ago

By the way, how many wolves are in this particular spot? Also, what is the submissive one's name?

MCristina • 6 years ago

11, the parents and 9 puppies last year.
If you click on the horizontal lines at the top left, the Link column will open and you will find all the news on the WCC and the wolves https://uploads.disquscdn.c...

Thank you very much :)

Does anyone know if any of the females are showing signs of pregnancy yet?

MCristina • 6 years ago

In my photos of yesterday you can see a bit of Magdalena's belly! Crossed paws for puppies!

Alix • 6 years ago

Just looked at pictures of Magdalena and I think you're right. If she is pregnant will this be her first litter?

MCristina • 6 years ago

Yes

Cristina, thanks for posting. I miss seeing them because they seem to spend more time in the other enclosure.

MCristina • 6 years ago

I posted the pictures just for the record ... I only saw them far away, I couldn't even locate Tiny Craighead!

MCristina • 6 years ago

Do they have another enclosure?

Susan Joy • 6 years ago

Yes, the enclosure Alleno was in. It is a split enclosure and its open. They can access both of them.

MCristina • 6 years ago

I thought the Alleno fence was a temporary partition, and that they had turned off the cams to do the work to remove the partition.

Rosa and Belle like to keep their puppies outside of the dens. Last year Rosa had all of her pups in the den but once they checked the pups she moved them and we did not see mom or dad or puppies for almost two months. If the AI was successful maybe she will have the pups outside the den that way when they check the pups she will move them into the den the reverse of last year. Wishful thinking. πŸΊβ€οΈπŸΎπŸ’œ

Lise • 6 years ago

I wonder why don't turn the cam towards the other enclosure, there's another stage on the other side.

Susan Joy • 6 years ago

The cam can't reach that far. They had another camera on that side but it failed.

Lise • 6 years ago

Yeah, I know, the second cam hasn't worked for almost a year or more. Too bad. It was great to see the other side too. I like to see them in their secret places. . .

Susan Joy • 6 years ago

Where are they?
