I actually have a korean friend who genuinely finds tattoos scary. it's p interesting. Meanwhile, most of my young japanese friends don't really give a fuck.
They must be scared everytime they walk down the streets. It's so common in Korea these days. It feels like every guy on the street has japanese style tattoos.
I know it’s each to their own but tattoo is scary?really?????
Hmmm might be
Yup, mood lol
I 100% agree with this. To me she’s exhibiting textbooks signs of being in a bad space, like she’s dealing with something heavy and trying to overcompensate/fill the void by doing all these things I.e dying her hair crazy colors, getting tattoos, experimental “trendy” outfits, going to events aimed for younger crowds etc. it’s almost like she’s trying to get back her 20’s when she was younger/carefree. I’m assuming because she was an actress and had to act “pretty and demure” all the time, she probably feels she missed out on a lot of self-expression or spent her best years not being able to live her life as she wanted. Whatever it is, I hope she finds peace.
To be fair, Solange’s husband was caught cheating on her. That marriage is probably over
Haha a stupid nigga is talking about another. Go back to your wakanda
Agreed. Thanks for saying this. Netizens usually only leave it at “her body her choice” when it’s actually almost always deeper than that. I was already a bit worried about her when she kept changing her hair color, now the tattoos. I kept being reminded of when sulli got criticized for not wearing a bra once, then she started taking pictures that *emphasized* the fact that she wasn’t wearing a bra. Netizens back then also only stopped at “her body her choice” when she was actually fighting a deeper issue within herself.
We already lost sulli, we don’t want to lose han ye seul as well. I hope the people around her will take better care of her.
I understand, most netizens are like that - easily triggered by opinions that differ from their own and call them ‘haters’ - they either have their own mental issue...or just dumb. Feel free to express your concern and just let them be.
That’s it. Such an empty ‘supportive comment’
Don't take Sulli's name in your mouth to justify your stupid opinions.
Idky am i being paranoid or wht, but when someone drastically change their attitude or behaviour kinda worrying me a bit..
Same..hope it's nothing and she just simply likes tattoos and being badass.
What, that's her?? I'm not familiar so I don't even remember her name. But wow, her style is so different now
I thought it was her breakup with teddy
[+30, -14] It's her life and she has a right to do whatever she wants but... ㅠㅠ does she really think that looks pretty? It's personal preference, but...
yes dear its a fucking personal preference.
even if she wants a peppa pig tattoo, we have no right to judge
Actually, she is FREE to get a ugly tattoo. And I am FREE to judge her ugly tattoo! It's MY right and personal preference to criticize her ugly tattoo.
And I am free to say stfu.
Oh, the internet. A place when people feel entitled and encouraged to mask their hate as criticism and say shit they wouldn't dare saying in people's faces~~
Why do people act like it's such an important human right to shitpost on the internet. And get defensive when someone calls them out.
ok boomer
Hardly impacts her career. It's easy to cover up tattoos with makeup. I've seen a lot of dramas where the actors don't have tattoos on screen when in fact, they have a ton in real life.
Her body her rules
How about suicide? their bodies their rules?
how you gonna compare getting tattoos with fucking suicide jesus fucking christ shut up
If you can't make the correlation yourself then you made it clear that YOU ARE THAT STUPID and I wouldn't waste my time on you.
Great show of personality
Yes. Like it or not, each and every one are responsible for their bodies and lives. If they want to get tats or stop living, it is their right to do so. However, suicide can be motivated by many things, including people like you who feel like they can dictate how others carry their lives, and THAT is something that shouldn't happen.
Are trying to dictate to me how should I live my life and form my opinions?
And when did I negate that people are responsible for their bodies and lives? If they're not then who is responsible for them? aliens? At least try to make sense before acting like Oh-So-Morally-Higher-Than-You-All
You either judge or don't judge, don't cherry pick shit on me. Lol
Am I wrong though? I've been through depression more than once and attempted some few times too (but failed). It is something I came to terms with: while I can't control the sickness all that much, the final decision is still mine to make and no one else can make it but me. Acting like it isn't a personal choice at the end of the day isn't something that is meant to trigger people, it's just how it is. However, it doesn't mean it you should choose it just because you can follow that path.
That's not what I said though. I just said it is a personal choice.
Really pointless to bring that irrelevant comparison up.
Not really, if you squeeze your eyes a little you might see why.
also her tattoos are pretty easy to cover
It's??? Just??? A??? Tattoo???? There such a stigma against tattoos in korea for no discernable reason. It's her body and her choice, and it's not like she got a bad tattoo
I think it {the stigma} comes from the history of tattoos being gang affiliated, especially with ties to the yakuza. Sk is a conformative society with strong negative experiences with the Japanese. That's the reason, I think.
It's not just about bad relations with Japan. SK's culture is actually so similar to the Japanese they both frown upon tattoos for the same reason. Usually because they think it's related to being a thug.
Yes.
My mama is a thug.Even has my and my brothers names tattooed on her back.We are all part of the yakuza!
I didn't mean it like that. Just pointing out where some of the stigma might come from. I live in a place where tattoos are common place and widely accepted. But in Korea there is a different narrative - in the past - to why and where tattoos are used. I personally think knetz are overreacting just cause she's an actress and they have this narrative of actresses being 'classy' women and she's deviating from what they expect
Who cares?
