No matter how many dating scandals come out, public and fans' reactions are always the same. Make me wonder if there will ever be a time where dating can be normalised.

When idols stop giving a fuck about their fans opinion, and companies confirm relationships instead of hiding it and give sugar coated statements.
But then again they do depend on their fans and their coins, so probably never.

Companies/idols have to stop trying to sell the 'delulu-dream' of 'My fans are my 1st love/gf' etc

Fans are all talk “ThEy sHoULD DATe” but when their idols go and date they lose their shit ... plus agencies need to sell that “boyfriend” fantasy to keep the ATMs fans interested

the whole idol industry is set up to cater towards the fantasy that they are attainable, the perfect boyfriend or girlfriend. There's a lot of money to be made with that kind of marketing. so unless that changes, dating will always be considered a 'scandal'

I think the BTS members actually are in the phase where they don’t need this. But, I think they are very considerate in that they will protect their gfs by continuing the fantasy marketing. I don’t blame them the scrutiny exemplified by this case is just over-blown.

They don't need it but they have this whole image of being open to the fans such as, calling them friends and family, their universe or galaxy, personally replying to people on weverse, etc. There should always be an invisible barrier between the fan and the artist and BTS has done their best to thin out the barrier and have a close relationship with the fandom. But some people forget that they're just fans so they feel entitled to know everything about the member's personal lives.

The way they build relationship with their fandoms has been the best one out of kpop groups. But, I am afraid eventually their personal life meaning dating may be get exposed but I hope at least it will be on the members’ term.

Still people keep asking for dating scandals to happen “because it piss off the delulus” but completely disregard how the parties involved will feel about it, they just want to be edgy

It depends, they generally simmer down compared to the idol peak years but from what i seen the fans evolved to acting like the idol's mother in law towards their s/o.

Preach... Right after news broke out even, when i check at twitter search bar, its only antis who keep on posting this dating rumor with those pics. Most of us actually really surprise about this. K-army also was really quiet to make sure its not blow up among i-army either. Its really antis actually who blow this up. Even when some army did complain about jungkook possibly dating, other army would try to advice those army to get a life. Lol

Yes actually other fandoms were the one who spreaded this and keep contacting dispatch and media to report it, we have receipts.
many armys only found out after bighit put out statement, only small minority knew this first and we tried to avoid talking abt this or just thru dm, but other parties keep posting abt it and made it trending eventho armys already told them to delete, we tried to avoid this bcs we knew if this spreaded in the fandom then we wouldn't be able to handle immature one who would investigate it more and it Happened.
The same way majority of karmys only knew after this rapper guy posted it on his ig, in fact he said the one who actually asked him weren't bts fans but other parties for whatever reason they have bcs majority of Armys fandom didn't even know this guy.
