I am a research scientist and I did read the primary article. It does
not suggest or hint that the virus was tampered with. It suggested that
it was a novel mutation that arose due to convergent evolution between
unrelated Coronaviruses (other coronaviruses do have this cleavage site,
just not closely related coronaviruses from the same clade). We should
be careful here with these assumptions, because the paper does NOT
prove that this was human-engineered.

If the AIDS portion of this weapon is active (it invades white blood cells and destroys them as it reproduces) then it's over. You would be permanently sick until you die, which is not likely to be very long. And they have been trying to come up with an AIDS vaccine for over 20 years without success. I also agree that systemic proteolytic ("protein-lysing", or "protein digesting") enzymes can be immensely helpful in infectious disease. They can break through biofilms, which renders drug-resistant pathogens more resistant to treatment. Bacteria make some of the best proteolytic enzymes, e.g. B. subtilis natto (a soil-based spore-forming bacteria found in kimchi and natto). The plot thickens, though: if I read it right, this article states that the SARS-CoV-2 virus actually recruits the host's "furin-like" enzyme (furin being "subtilisin-like" acc. to wikipedia) for its own ACTIVATION. The article recommends that furin-inhibitor drugs (used in HIV) be tested on the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Any microbiologists or infectious disease specialists out there, feel free to chime in! Please tell us that this new virus cannot also exploit beneficial enzymes in our gut (such as subtilisin). I am thinking not.

Aspergillus orzae is a fungus; I am sure its enzymes are good ones. Nattokinase has also been very highly researched. It comes from "B. subtilis natto", and it is very abundant in the Japanese 'natto' dish. Perhaps its good to take a combination of enzymes (bacterial, fungal and animal).

If it is 20%, that is doable by those that are willing to do what it will require.
If it is 80%, that is going to be a very serious hurdle even with full cooperation.
If it is 100%, then my knowledge with not save anyone.
An accurate death ratio must also be viewed by location and type of people infected, etc.

I haven't read this article very carefully yet, and haven't gone to the links yet, but when I listened to them speaking about this virus before and from what I understood, this virus could not exist in nature. In other words, it showed clear and obvious evidence of human tampering. Search for yourself though. I've been occupied by other things, but that is one thing that really stood out to me.

It was a pneumonia virus with rabbit myelin spliced into it. Rabbits exposed had a 50% mortality rate, and the survivors at 6 weeks became paralyzed as their immune systems attacked their myelin.
