Rider is an alternative choice for developers. It is not created by Microsoft. JetBrains owns and maintains it. I hope that helps.

Microsoft Visual Studio IDE itself is a powerful tool for developing .NET applications. Is JetBrains Rider just going to be an alternative choice for developers or would it be having features unsupported by Visual Studio?
