Hi joostiphone, I just updated. Best regards.
Many thanks!
I'm getting “OpenCore Configurator” cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer."
How do I fix that? (Ventura)
Right click with your mouse on the app and then Press "Control ^" + Open. Then press Open again and it should work. You're now bypassing the message.
When using AMD Power Gadget, it's necessary to change the Expose Sensitive Data setting to 0x8. After doing so I keep getting a message that my Opencore is out of date when loading OCC. Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks
No because the app check your OC version in the nvram variable.
Any change to Expose Sesitive Data results in the message "Opencore is out of date" seems odd because my Opencore is not out of date, putting Expose Sensitive Date to default removes the error message.
What OC version do you have?
Is there any possibility or talk to opencore so that they add a command to know the compiled version that we are using in OpenCore. Those of us who use betas regularly
Try to check "Expose the OpenCore version as a UEFI variable" and "Expose the OpenCore version in the OpenCore picker menu title" in Misc->Security->ExposeSensitiveData or you need to go "Tools->Opencore Downloader". You can write in the terminal this command: nvram 4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102:opencore-version
Version 2.73.0.0 does not seem to allow us to enter "Table Signature" in "ACPI -> Delete" section. If we select DSDT or SSDT or any other entry from drop-down menu, the field remains empty.
Hi, I just tried it and everything works fine.
Thank you for checking.
Further tests show that it works in Ventura, but the problem is only in Sonoma:
This is Ventura (no problem):

This is Sonoma (cannot make a selection from pop-up menu):
Probably will be solved on future sonoma's releases.
Hi @mackie100. I have tried installing opencore configurator on macos and Windows 10/11. On Windows, the download is just a bunch of files and no actual GUI. It's similar on macos with just a folder. The folder contains a PLIST file and a zip file that cannot be unzipped. Can you PLEASE help me as I have been trying for several days to figure out how to get the GUI to appear so I may use the app 😅. Please may you help?
My app doesn't work on windows. Probably you're using another tool that's not mine.
I used the download link above. Oh that's why it didn't open and the file and claimed to not "be executable on windows." Does it work on mac? I also made an attempt on Mac but all there's just 1 folder 📂 that has a PLIST file in it which can't be opened and a zip file where mac claims to not be able to unzip the file as there is no such 'instance' of the file existing. Why does that occur?
On Mac, unzip and put app in applications folder.
Thanks! But mac won't let me unzip the files as there's an error code
Strange behavior, all links work.
With everything up to date in my EFI folder I still get "You seem to have an old version of Opencore bootloader". What file is it checking to give this message? https://uploads.disquscdn.c...
Probably you need to reset nvram
Nope, after a reset it still has the message and there is no setting to remove it, unfortunately.
Try "nvram 4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102:opencore-version" and give me the result.
I have upgraded to Big Sur with configurator, but can I now upgrade to Monterey?
If you hardware can support it, definitely yes.
Probably yes, there are some hacks on insanelymac forum.
Hi, I've validated the configuration by using the menu (Tools > Config checker).
I think that the check must be updated, as it reports this as wrong:
Misc > Boot > Picker mode > External
If you switch back to "Builtin" as suggested, then you receive a warning when OpenCanopy.efi is installed, telling you to use "External".
Probably this check must consider the presence of an enabled OpenCanopy.efi, right?
Thank you :-)
In the section kernel/patch something goes wrong. Have set ReplaceMask with the plist editor, but OCC does not recognize it and signals the error below, that Replace mask is required. Seems there ist a problem interpreting Mask and ReplaceMask reversed.

Completed validating /Volumes/EFI/EFI/OC/config.plist in 3 ms. Found 2 issues requiring attention.
Because ReplaceMask must be equal to Replace in size.
It says that the bootloader is not installed or nvram isn't native. How can i fix this?
Take a look in Misc -> Security -> ExposeSensitiveData, change data from 8 to 6
It is already on 6, is there anything else i can do?
It says this app creates configuration file for versions 0.9.0 and above
Try to reset nvram
It doesn't work, should i try to create a new virtual machine

Sorry, it was a mistake. Thanks for your feedback...
Thanks for the quick fix!
When a window is opened for downloading/updating the kexts driver, the software may exit unexpectedly after a period of time
Do you have any crash log?
It has been a month since the last update, and currently only version 0.8.8 is supported. When will version 0.9.0 be supported?
NO differences between two versions for config file.
I have 0.8.8 and I got a validator error saying only compatible with 0.8.8 so I tried 0.9.0 and get the same error...
Sorry for the late reply, everything's fine now with latest update.
How to check Alder Lake in Config Checker ...Comet Lake is last on list ? tnx
Yes, the data is based on Dortania's help guide, but the website has not been updated. There is no reference for latest cpu families.
mackie100 Can you provide an update for the latest (now finally out of beta) OC? Would be much appreciated as always. Best regards.
