Hey! I have just read a couple of your blogposts and wanted to say that you seem to have it together, in a very good sense. Many of the things you write about are things people learn much later in life. Some of the things you did and probably think are usual business practice - the letter & split. I wish none of you ever learns the opposite is true, but know it was your choice of a good deed and not an obvious thing.
Regarding the games, I share many of your sentiments. About the games that should be shorter and more celebrated for that, about indies in general, about a sensible approach to doing what you love. Pardon my poking a stick, but have you considered splitting what you're working on into smaller iterations? From where I sit, it fits the ethos of smaller game and there's nothing stopping you from releasing a sequel (Rebuild n Plow perhaps).
Keep going, you have a new fan in me for sure. I have a deep admiration for your attempt at charting your own course and doing it with such regard for others around you.
Good luck (I've just realised I had your game wishlisted for a while already !)
