I'm not a professional player, and have only ever played BF1. But I want to add my personal experience because you say only Intel processors are good for gaming on Ultra settings at 1080p with 60 FPS, but my AMD (I prefer its better performance-price ratio) setup works fantastically for BF1. I'm considering reusing it for BF5, though that might be pushing it (GPU is a 4GB RX470).

Daniel • 5 years ago

I'm assuming you're referring to the phrase "at least a dual-core hyperthreaded Intel CPU" in the section on recommended CPUs. But that's just setting a minimum, and is not meant to imply that an AMD chip would be a bad choice. Far from it, you will notice that we recommend a Ryzen 7 2700X in the very next paragraph as one of the best choices you could make for BF1!

Ethan301 • 5 years ago

Hay me again, the PC I originally wanted to buy has shifted a bit because of the prices (I live in Australia). Here's my build now, thanks for the earlier reply!

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor
Mobo: Asus - PRIME B450-PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: Crucial - Ballistix Sport LT 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
GPU: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB SC GAMING Video Card
PSU: Corsair - CXM (2015) 450W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Daniel • 5 years ago

That RAM amount is definitely a more balanced choice for your build. We would usually recommend going with a higher-wattage power supply for those core components (typically a 650-Watt supply at that level), but other than that, you're looking at similar specifications (and thus similar performance) to the earlier list.

Ethan301 • 5 years ago

Judge me

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor
GPU: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB SC GAMING Video Card
MEMORY: G.Skill - NT Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory and G.Skill - NT Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory = 12GB
MOBO: Gigabyte - X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard

Daniel • 5 years ago

Haha, alright, can do! That PC is comparable to the 'Very Good' tier of our general build recommendation chart, which we would expect to be capable of 90-144 FPS in Battlefield 1 at 1080p with max settings (or 60-90 FPS at 1440p, or 30-45 FPS at 4K).

Steven Nguyen (YermyYerm) • 6 years ago

Can I expect 1080p - 1440p with medium - high settings for i5 7600k, 1050ti? 60 fps

Daniel • 6 years ago

Due to the graphics card, those parts would perform roughly on-par with the 'Good' tier of our general build recommendation chart, which we would expect to be capable of 45-60 FPS in Battlefield 1 at 1080p with max settings, or 30-45 FPS at 1440p with max settings. (You could get better performance by playing with medium or lower graphical settings, and/or a lower resolution.)

Kinnav • 6 years ago

hi.....somebody plzz tell me whether i can run battlefield 1 on a computer with these specs: GTX 960, i5 6600 and ram 8 gb smoothly( at least on medium or low graphics)?

Daniel • 6 years ago

The parts in that build are roughly comparable to the specifications of the 'Good' tier build in our general build recommendation chart, which we would expect to be capable of 40-60 FPS in Battlefield 1 at 1080p with max settings---so it might be capable of staying consistently above 60 FPS at low or medium settings.

HoboJerry • 6 years ago

I have a 1060 3GB and i5 7600k, but I can't seem to get steady 60fps even on medium sometimes. Any suggestions?

Daniel • 6 years ago

Hmm, that's not crazy-low for those specs, but that is definitely a bit underwhelming relative to our expectations. I would say your first step would be going back to basics: updating graphics drivers, making sure the monitor is hooked up to the graphics card rather than the motherboard/CPU, making sure that no other operations on your computer are eating resources while you're playing, making sure that you're not getting spotty performance due to your connection to the servers rather than due to your machine's ability to play the game, and finally fiddling with each individual graphics option to see if one of them is much heavier on your system than we found above.

Darijan Zumarevic • 6 years ago

Does any of you think that i can run Battlefield 1 on these specs ( At least on low settings):
AMD Fire pro W4190M 2GB VRAm
Intel Core i5-6200 CPU @ 2.30GHz 2.40GHz
8GB of RAM

Daniel • 6 years ago

Unfortunately, we would not expect that those parts, which are well below the minimum recommended specifications for Battlefield 1, would be capable of achieving a playable frame rate, even at the lowest settings.

Fireghost • 6 years ago

Hi guy,it has any new player now,
BF1 still good to buy?
Or wait to new BF game?
Pls advice me

Daniel • 6 years ago

Maybe someone else can chime in with personal experience, but I can at least point to this: https://battlefieldtracker.....

That page shows how many players have been playing the game since launch. The player counts are the lowest they've been, but they're still seeing over 100,000 players per day across all 3 platforms. So if you're interested in the game, its community is still going strong on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Fireghost • 6 years ago

Thx bro

Cristian • 6 years ago

Hi, I'm debating whether or not I should buy a PC or build one cause I intend on using the PC for just battlefield 1 for most of time until I decide to play another game, and since I'm new to this, I just want to ask someone with experience and a lot more knowledge for help with this kind of thing, and my preferences are that I just want to play the game and I want it to have a smooth performance with minimum lag, and especially when I want to look around and admire the details of the game, if I can have your thought that would be very much appreciated

Larry Mitchell • 6 years ago

Its up to you, the cost difference in building vs buying isn't huge so you could go either way. Do you want to go through troubleshooting and configuration on something you build yourself? Or do you want your new system already pre-tested and ready to fire up?

If you are doing a partial upgrade then certainly its better to do the work yourself so you aren't spending money on components you already have, but if you are getting a completely new system it might be a better idea to have it built for you by someone like cyberpower. You can "build" the PC on their website, then go to pcpartpicker and choose all the same components to see what the price difference would be if you were to build it yourself.

Filip Petrovic • 6 years ago

Hi guys,
so how much fps could l get on 1080p ultra on gtx 1050 ti 4vram i7 7700 8 ram?
THANKS.

Larry Mitchell • 6 years ago

Is this a system you have or are building?

Filip Petrovic • 6 years ago

Sorry l didnt quite understand how do u mean ,,building,, ?

Larry Mitchell • 6 years ago

As in, did you pick out these components in preparation for building a new computer, or do you already have a computer with these components installed?

Filip Petrovic • 6 years ago

Ah so, l already have a computer like this.

Larry Mitchell • 6 years ago

I don't know how many frames you would get with these specs, but if you are looking for ultra settings on 1080p I would consider upgrading to a 1060 with 6GB, and add another 8GB stick of RAM for a total of 16GB. Your processor should be just fine.

Filip Petrovic • 6 years ago

Tnx for letting me know that but l already own the game and l am playing on ultra directx12 with those specs with no frame drops.l appreciate your time for answering my questions.

Larry Mitchell • 6 years ago

Could be true. I run a second monitor and other programs on the side which is common with a lot of gamers these days, so that is why I recommended the upgrade.

Filip Petrovic • 6 years ago

No problem man, tnx for support.

Kazoo Kid • 6 years ago

Hey! I just bought the superb, and i seem to be getting stutter and lag. Any explaination to this?

Matthew • 6 years ago

Are your drivers up to date? On what resolution are you playing?

Kazoo Kid • 6 years ago

1680 x 1050 and yes, drivers are up to date. It runs about 60-70 fps but often drops to 40

Matthew • 6 years ago

That is strangely low performance.

Did you build straight across the superb tier? What are your system specs?

Kazoo Kid • 6 years ago

Almost.

Geforce GTX 1060 6 gb x gaming
i-5 7400 3 GHz
1x8 crucial DDR4 dimm 288 ,+ 1x8 Corsair vengeance DDR4.
ASROCK z270 killer sli
corsair CX600 power supply
And a basic 240 gb ssd kingston
Might be a little outdated, but this is what i got. BTW, i noticed that my cpu is at a 100% at all times. Could this be the problem?

Matthew • 6 years ago

Yes, that could certainly be a problem, your CPU should not be at 100% at all times. That is almost certainly causing the issue.

Even when you aren't running any programs is it at 100%? Is it adequately cooled?

Kazoo Kid • 6 years ago

Nope, only in bf1. And the temperatures are at about 40 degrees, so not too high.
Though, instead of using the superb cooler we bought, there were actually one within the CPU box, we used instead.
Is that bad?
Kinda makes me sad to see people with worse specs than me get triple the fps

Matthew • 6 years ago

The stock CPU cooler is fine if you aren't having temperature problems.

It's strange that your CPU is maxing out in Battlefield 1. There appear to be people with similarly powerful systems who have experienced the same problem. This thread may be helpful to you with troubleshooting! https://www.reddit.com/r/Ba...

Kazoo Kid • 6 years ago

Tried everything.
Nothing worked.

Matthew • 6 years ago

That's strange, based on what you said it seems to be an issue specific to Battlefield 1. There are other threads and posts with users who have the same problem so maybe some of the techniques listed there can help, but otherwise I'm not really sure what you could do.

Kazoo Kid • 6 years ago

Well, its not only battlefield1. GTA V is running at 55-60 fps when it should be running at 90+. Thanks for trying to help though.

Matthew • 6 years ago

That's a strange problem. Glad to try and help!

Select Asterisk • 7 years ago

Hi LI!

I saw here -> https://www.battlefield.com...

A quite high specs to be fulfilled ( Even the minimum one )

But from your game builds is not that high.

What is the different view from your side?

Thank you.

Matthew • 7 years ago

The system requirements are what is needed to run the game, but not necessarily what is needed to get good performance. You can run the game with some less expensive systems on lower settings, but our list is about maximum settings performance in Battlefield 1.

Noah Kurszewski • 7 years ago

Hey there. I loved this article with all of it's details and those interactive pictures, but I have a quick inquiry. I plan on running BF1 on an i5 6500 and an r9 fury (yes I have ample power and cooling for the sucker) at ultra on 1080p or 1080p widescreen (2560x1080). What fps do you think I'll get for each resolution at those settings? Thank you

Matthew • 7 years ago

Hey! You could likely get 60-90 FPS on both resolutions, but closer to the 60 end on 1080p wide screen. Either way, it should run very well!

Noah Kurszewski • 7 years ago

Thanks!

Matthew • 7 years ago

No problem!

Jeffrey Bigelow • 7 years ago

i plan on playing BF1 with a fx 8350 and a msi radeon rx 480 8GB, wil i be able to run it at 1080p on ultra?

Matthew • 7 years ago

You could likely get about 45 FPS on ultra with that system.

Matthew Young • 7 years ago

Hiya, I have an i5-6500 with a GTX 950 2GB, my monitor is 1920x1080@144Hz. Any recommendations on how to tweak the settings to get 60fps?

Matthew • 7 years ago

On what settings are you currently running it, and with what FPS?
