Very interesting and detailed description. I have a comment here. According my observation the the nyquist plot contains a depressed semicircle, CPE will fit better then Cdl. CPE stands for constant phase element and it is not a perfect double layer capacitor. it is actually an imperfect capacitor wit some percentage of contribution from a resistor.
