I'm just gonna put this here because I have nowhere else to put it and SOMEONE needs to hear it.
Has anyone noticed that The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda have very similar origins? Both were stowed away in a small inclosed space (pod, cellar), in both cases the doors opened (vertically, down the middle) to reveal an imposing black droid who raised their gun to eliminate them but were then saved by a Mandalorian, who then brought them into their clan. I don't know if everyone already knows this, but I thought it was genius on the writer's part.
It's so ironic that all of this happened right after some private collector released alternative ending to The Lost World Michael Crichton's novel that was cut from original release of the novel. And that ending explores quite deeply subplot about DX prion disease that threatens the dinosaurs on the island. That's like, uh, someone just opened some kind of Crichton's Pandora box. And that fact is very, uh, ominous I have to say...
Life, uh, finds a way.....
All around me are familiar faces.......
As much as am frustrated and angry right now..... But, I understand the situation and decision the film crew did. I can wait, hopefully they will announce when will they continue soon.
It sucks. It really does. However, I understand and support the decision 100%. The safety and health of the cast and crew is more important than the production of the film itself. Hopefully it doesn't last too long and the June 2021 release date still stays though.
On a similar note I just found out the Jurassic World Live event my gf and were going to for our anniversary got canceled due to the virus as well. At least I get a refund.
It's starting to feel like this virus has the planet held hostage.
I'm shocked this wasn't announced way sooner; knew this was going to happen the second this virus started circulating at a faster rate. So many health officials are saying we might have to prepare for this virus to be around for at least a year and possibly without a vaccine. If that happens, we might not be seeing "Dominion" for a WHILE. I could see it easily being delayed anywhere from half a year to a year and a half, depending. Remember, it's not just filming that will be affected, but even smaller gatherings, like teams tasked with perfecting the CGI and animatronics, etc. I'm not saying they won't be able to get it done, despite the virus, but their work will be slowed down, nonetheless. Then there's Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum, who are both at great risk if they get the virus, due to their ages. Best case, we get the film around November-December 2021 instead.
Anyway, fans can deal with not seeing the next Jurassic Park film for a while. There are far more pressing matters going on right now. Hell, some Jurassic Park fans might not even survive long enough to see this new film, and I don't think that's an exaggeration AT ALL, considering the number of deaths already occurring at such a quick rate. This shit is frightening.
Note: For those saying this is no worse than the typical flu, do your research. Ample evidence is coming out showing that this is not the case, at all, whatsoever. This is unprecedented. If you live with elderly (particularly, 60 or above) or the sick (people with other conditions, such as diabetes or heart disease), you best start treating it as such, though you should be taking necessary precautions, either way. This thing is HIGHLY contagious. Seriously, just do some research, please.
Actually, I think that this wont come too bad for the movie itself! Not very faithfull on emily cowriting the script... and maybe a real life event like coronavirus can inspire and give more depth to the global impact of dinos in JWDominion... Sucks to wait but we'll get it eventually!

I understand why companies are putting everything on hold but it's so damn frustrating. Everyone is getting screwed over just because some idiots didn't care about proper hygiene. And looking at previous pandemics it doesn't look like this mess will be over in a few months....
I'm so upset 😠it's already
So far away from release and this will push it back further. I know it's for the best but damn... guess I'll have to continue with Jurassic park evolution
Frustrated! I understand of course, and can be patient - I just hope that the film does continue production again swiftly once the virus has passed and it isn't buried and forgotten.
They recorded a scene in my cousin's hometown. I'm hoping that it doesn't get cut so my cousin's small town becomes famous for more than country music!
