Not only does it make little to no sense, it's an insult the the films that came before! That and numbers in the Jurassic Park series are a bade omen... *cough* Jurassic Park /// *cough*

Nothing in the world of Hollywood makes less sense to me than the decision to refer to the fifth Jurassic Park film with a 2. Literally makes no sense. Jurassic World was so clearly a sequel. After it released, nearly everyone viewed it as anything but a sequel. Soft reboot, spin off, totally new franchise, remake, alternate universe entirely, other sequels never happened, ect. No one could accept that Jurassic World could possibly be JP4. I even heard a guy say "Jurassic World is a reboot, exactly as they did with the spiderman franchise". A lot of people literally think Jurassic World is a separate franchise. Despite the movie having returning music, a returning character, the same t-rex from the original film, very obvious references to the earlier films. I really don't see how people can't recognize this as the fourth film. One friend of mine said " yes Jurassic World is a sequel, but it's a direct sequel to Jurassic Park, the second and third film never took place". The media insisting on calling the fifth film JW 2 only adds to this strange mass confusion. The media constantly referring to Jurassic World as "the first film" has only served to convince people that this is a totally separate franchise. It always makes me cringe when I see someone calling Jurassic World "the first film".

What a pity. But I guess we'll be seeing footage in five to six months.

could always go the 'behind the scenes' route, like the did with Star Wars. that way you dont need to CGI stuff. Just have the cast and crew talk about the movie and show some scenes being filmed.

That's for the best! With over a year to go it's way too early. The first trailer had shots that were completely changed in the final film.
