We are sure unreal, 60 tests only in how many weeks, 3-weeks 20 per week, 2-weeks 30 per week. Can this give us any idea of the true infection rate, yet we crow daily about containment. Me a fret.

You got this right Peejay and now Bull Bay are no longer in quarantine. Watch it spread now. Numbers are not true as we are not testing!

So correct me if i am wrong , in a country with a population of ,approximately ,three million people , we have tested the grand total of two hundred and fifty persons ( or 0.0083%) of which thirty ( or 12 % ) tested positive . Yet we are contending that we are doing very well at managing this pandemic ? It seems to me that far too little testing is being undertaken for us to identify ,trace and then quarantine those who are infected and then systematically search for ,identify and also quarantine possible contacts . Anything short of this rigor would be ineffective in preempting and thus preventing contagion. We very well now be living in a fool's paradise were we to accept and seek comfort in the official figures released.

They key is the national testing, what is causing the delays? Politricks? Cuba has been testing door to door for weeks.

More testing is necessary when local transmission is high. If you conduct lots of testing when local transmission is low or none existence, you are going to get lots of negative test results, which could give a false indication about the virus. Hence, timing of the testing procedure is very necessary.

The other think is make sure that these rapid test kits are very accurate because false results is as bad as none testing.

You guys have done a fantastic job thus far. Congratulations!

TESTING is extremely important. As everyone knows by now, feeling good or even "extremely good" and showing "no symptoms, no anything," is not evidence that you don't have coronavirus.
Everyone knew about the virus for how long now ?
Why were there so many Press conferences held with the PM and the Minister of Health when none of them are Scientists or Medical Doctors, and we have qualified Experts in Epidemiologists in our country ?. We are way behind even Trinidad and Barbados in the very important area of TESTING Samples.

Children of the True and Living God in America and other parts of the world, let's tell God that we are sorry for our sins and of our leaders, and from this day onward by His grace, we pledge to obey His Statues and Laws and that we will reach out and give an helping hand to the less fortunate, including those desperate ones whom we abused, rejected and scorned, those who risked their lives with their children and the elderly in search of a future in this great land you have given us call America. Lord we have done wickedly, we abused the elderly, children, men and women, we shed innocent blood, leaving children without mothers and fathers, we ill treat animals as well as served injustices in court rooms, among many other sins. Now we confess and willing to forsake our cruel, evil, heartless past, please forgive and pardon us and grant us the cure for the coronavirus. Amen! sellous@yahoo.com
