Henri-you are very naive. They werent interested in seeing Israel or speaking to the people to learn about them. They already refused a trip that a number of democratic and republican congressmen/women took a couple of weeks prior. They chose not to go with them because the itinerary included actually seeing the country of Israel and learning more about the country. They said they were going to "palestine" (which doesnt exist) and were being sponsored by Hanan Ashwari, a member of Abbas' party in order to take them to places where they could be critical of Israel. So----Israel isnt afraid but why should they knowingly allow these two to plan their own trip to palestine in order to trash Israel. Would you do this

I must add that Israel has done very, very well. Not only do they have a beautifully functioning democracy, with everybody of all religions and stripes getting the vote, as well as representation in their parliament, they have become a prime exporter of fruits and vegetables worldwide, but especially in Europe.
