The independents who voted for Trump want war in ukraine to end peacefully with negotiations. The regular MAGA crowd of willfully-ignorant right-wingers want Trump to end the war by threatening Russia and escalating to show Russia who's boss. Unfortunately, the latter is a lot larger group, and features 50+ YO fucks brainwashed since childhood with communist boogeyman stories. They were also the ones who fell for Dubya's WMD lies. So things may get bad.

Yes, the sanctions are the killer.

It's been obvious since Istanbul, my view well before, that the only way the Ukrainian war was going to end was with the unconditional capitulation of Ukraine. The neutralisation of Ukraine is going to happen one way or another and always was.

For the Russians, "neutralisation" means "demilitarisation and denazification". Just that. Territorial adjustments are irrelevant, though there are going to be a whole lot of people in Russia - in the Russian General Staff too! - who are going to be more than upset if those territorial adjustments don't lead to the reintegration of regions previously accepted as Russian.

That's not the primary goal of the SMO though. The primary goal of the SMO is neutralisation. "They (the Russians) want to end up with a neutral remnant Ukraine, one released from the domination of the ultras and no longer usable by us as a base for further destabilisation activities. ... precisely how they're going to achieve that they probably don't know for sure yet and we don't know at all."

The Trump victory, though I personally was very pleased to see it, will make no difference to that outcome in remnant Ukraine. It will, I very much hope, lead to an earlier end to the war there and thus fewer deaths. It will not alter that end.

It cannot alter it. We have heard much talk in the West of "deals" with Russia that will leave remnant Ukraine more or less within the Western orbit. We hear of "DMZ's", Korean solutions, two Germany solutions, Japanese solutions even, temporary ceasefires, and also, much talked about, a "Trump solution".

Maybe those "deals" could have been put on the table before February 2022. I doubt it, but I don't know. They're not on the table now. For all the talk of "Istanbul 2" that deal too is off the table. I wish to hell we in the West had actually read what the Russians said, instead of relying on the scraps that are retailed to us, and that often inaccurately, by our politicians and journalists. And what the Russians have said on any sort of compromise peace deal is set out in just one sentence:-

" Naturally, this entails the removal of all Western sanctions against Russia as well.”</i>

https://mid.ru/en/foreign_policy/news/1957107/

This condition set out again by Lavrov later, this time talking directly and unfiltered to a Western audience in Newsweek:-

"- and removal of all sanctions against Russia."

Not going to happen. I simply can't imagine President Trump removing "all sanctions". If he wanted to, he couldn't. And if he could, how would he take the bitterly anti-Russian European politicians along with him?

So no "deal". The Ukrainian war might indeed come to an end sooner than if Vice-President Harris had won. I hope it does. With any luck we're not going to fight that war to the very last Ukrainian. It'll still end with the neutralisation of Ukraine in accordance with the Russian goals set out at the beginning of the SMO. And we in Europe are still in for Cold War II.

It's not going to be as comfortable and agreeable a cold war as Cold War I.

Why would Russia want sanctions removed? The sanctions are killing their enemies economically which impedes their ability to conduct war. Like the West launched a strategic bomb upon themselves.

Dmitry Medvedev writes
About stubborn Trump

I wrote on Telegram a couple of days ago about the rabid bipartisan anti-Russian consensus on Capitol Hill. These assessments are fair, including taking into account the majority of "elephants" received in the Senate.

But Trump has one quality that is useful to us: as a businessman to the core, he mortally dislikes spending money on various hangers-on and freeloaders – on idiotic allies, on stupid charity projects, and on gluttonous international organizations.

Toxic Bandera Ukraine is in the same row. The question is how much will they force Trump to give for the war. He is stubborn, but the system is stronger.

In any case, today the green scum in Kiev will be buried up to their ears in white powder...

Marat Khairullin
Ingsoc is dead

Have you noticed how quietly Bellingcat died? It's a basket from which Navalny was fed shit. It's called the "Open Source Investigative Journalism Agency." It was founded by the famous Bulgarian gay journalist Hristo Grozev, who was kicked out of Moscow back in the 2000s for not leaving the saunas where he was used by famous Moscow perverts.
He himself, unfortunately, is still alive, but the main work of his life has died. And this is very funny, because "Bellingcat" appeared exactly a week before the death of the Malaysian Boeing and then collected all the Western journalistic awards - for freedom in profile, for freedom in full face, for freedom through the anus, for a world without peace, and so on.
It’s just a pity that he was not awarded the West’s main prize, named after Orwell, for his honest doublethink. (The term was introduced by George Orwell in his novel “1984”. Let me remind you that doublethink is a pillar of the modern West (the ability to hold two opposing beliefs at the same time and believe in both). Telling a calculated lie, sincerely believing it and forgetting the fact that has become inconvenient.

“Bellingcat” and Grozev are a direct embodiment of Orwell’s book – the one who wants to rule and wants to do so in the future must be able to distort the sense of reality. That is, this is such a concentrated poison that was poured into us through Navalny and other traitors. And finally, in the third year of the war, when Russia began to give the West a good punch in the face, it died. It turned out to be unnecessary – it didn’t work. And along with it, the related garbage dumps came pouring out – “The Insider” (an undesirable organization in the Russian Federation), “Meduza” (Meduza is recognized as an undesirable organization in the Russian Federation). The latter is still breathing, but already completely crap, they'll probably close it soon too. Didn't live up to expectations.
But seriously, Bellingcat is an example of the subversive technologies with which Ingsoc (the totalitarian West) wanted to destroy our country. And this insignificant death of one of the main torpedoes of the West's propaganda machine shows how the world has changed. It has become very difficult to distort reality in the open information field. Reality has proven stronger. It is clear that the West will not calm down, Grozev's place will be taken by Tsarevs, Podolyaks and others, of course, they do not work as exquisitely, but they are much cheaper, you can buy in bulk, and there will still be enough for a couple of bastards. However, this is no longer important, because our truth is still stronger.

Mr. "We have submarines and targets, why do we have one ship at sea?" That just does not seem to be the kind of stuff Trump wants to hear.

Dear Donald and Melania Trump,

Congratulations on history’s greatest comeback!

Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America.

This is a huge victory!

In true friendship,

Now we know the power of the media. They managed to create almost 50% of support out of less than nothing. If they had a barely decent candidate, they would win.

And sheeple still call that a democracy.

To put up a ticket of Harris/Walz, two total lightweights with no charisma, record or popular appeal, against Trump makes you think they wanted to lose. Are people with so much money and power really that stupid, or is it all just theater?

Good question.
