In recent days, I have been reading with interest the news from the capitals of the rotting Anglo-Saxon world.

The fact that they are supposedly watching the events in our country and will discuss them with some partners.
Some figures even spoke about the cracks that appeared on the facade of Russia.

It looks like they forgot, damn observers, that just recently we were admiring the collapse of the entire US political machine and the capture of the Capitol.

And now we are watching with interest who and how the long-suffering American people will choose - a shuffling old man with acute dementia or a young overage playboy with the habits of a provincial dictator.

With no less interest, we are also watching the events in France, the pandemonium and riots in the streets.

And, of course, we will also discuss them with our partners.

Especially in the context of many years of "successful" migration policy of the once enlightened Europe.

Who are these people, why are they?

In general, there is no one to look at.

And even more so there is no one to do business with.

How is it with the great St. Petersburg writer Nikolai Gogol: “There is only one decent person there: the prosecutor; and even that one, to tell the truth, is a pig.”

However, if you recall another quote from Nikolai Vasilyevich, it becomes completely sad: “I don’t see anything.

I see some pig snouts instead of faces, but nothing else.

A curtain.

Iran's admission to SCO planned on July 4 — Lavrov

"At the upcoming July 4 meeting of the Council of Heads of State [of the organization], Iran's full membership will be formalized, and a memorandum of commitment by Belarus will be signed, which will also launch the procedure for its full accession to the Shanghai [cooperation] organization," he said.

Furthermore, Lavrov stated that the group also welcomes new dialogue partners. "From now on, the SCO space, taking into account both new members and dialogue partner states, stretches from Europe and the Middle East to South and Southeast Asia," he added.

The declaration establishing the SCO was signed in Shanghai in June 2001 by six states: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The organization currently also includes India and Pakistan.

This year, New Delhi presides over the SCO. The summit of the organization is set for July 4. The meeting of the SCO leaders would take place in an online format, as previously stated by the Indian Foreign Ministry."

Goran • 10 months ago

Immediately after news of Prigs leaving for Belarus, the main stream media, and alternative, rallied behind one narrative, "it was NOT a coup". Patreus did, McGregory did, Larry did, The Alex's did, most on this blog did. Across the social media landscape what the Prigs event was NOT was the topic of discussion. Next came news that Prigs was sore over losing a contract and the news spread across the globe in one day. As if Prigs had never lost a contract or had the terms of a contract changed. Speaking of contracts, they are the legal hand shack of business people. Any experienced business leadership is prepared for the worst contractual scenario possible in advance. As for the contract itself, a naive person can only think that Prigs and Shoigu know how to interpret its many pages. Contract negotiations require the help of an army of legal professionals. If issues around the contract had arisen images of teams of people would have made it to the news outlets. Not one such image nor mention of legal professionals in any media was released. When was the last time you saw high level international negotiations conducted by just two people?

So what is the ruckus around the Prigs angry about money narrative? It gives plausible deniability to the argument that a coup was attempted in Russia. If in fact it was a failed coup, the west needs to have such deniability, otherwise Russia would have legal grounds for retaliation. What Prigs gave us was a view into the first ever Rules Based Order attempt to break up an Order Based on International Law.

My view is that an attempt to break up Russia was suppressed. The West took responsibility and agreed to some terms demanded from Russia. The whole thing is being layed to rest under the cover of a highly experienced international business man having a temper tantrum over losing a contract.

Larch445 • 10 months ago

If the column moving toward Moscow had not shot down multiple aircraft, one could rationalize it was just Prig trying to intimidate the MOD to relenting on contracts.

Instead, the West would and did use Prig and his column to attempt to shake the leadership of the Kremlin and to foment civil uprising. Just because the uprising and coup (a supposed power struggle within the Kremlin) did not occur does not mean a coup was not an objective.

Doab • 10 months ago

He did say " We are going to have a new president tomorrow "

On a side note the West keeps taunting others that they can't loose face so they do crazy antics.
What more could have been done to the Russian State, Gerasimov, Sighou, Putin. Prighozin even shot down multiple aircraft took hostage the war headquarters. Yet Putin thought nothing of loosing face he negotiated as solution which saved Russian lives and avoided Chaos.

I can't see any western leader remotely doing that. They do everything to save face. Even when being buried in a grave they will stick one leg out to save face.

Their economies are reeling they have collectively spent nearly a trillion dollars in fuel an electric subsidies, paying for Ukraines expenses paying for armour etc. Their currencies and industries are in decline but they continue mainly because they want to save face.

Larch, what are your thoughts on the recent announcements by NATO that in Vilnius they'll decide to freeze the conflict and send a peacekeeping mission to western Ukraine. To me both of these ideas seem to be non-starters - freezing of the conflict would require Russia's consent (it would have to be a bilateral decision, not a unilateral one), and NATO inserting a "peacekeeping" force into western Ukraine sounds like something that they won't have the guts to do out of fear that this force would get crushed by the Russian forces stationed in Belarus.

The Arioch • 10 months ago

Lavrov already welcomed that mission. Kind of.

Doab • 10 months ago

Larch445 • 10 months ago

aski1977,

It signals the realization among the military and Intel of the West that the Ukies cannot gain back anything from the Russians. So, to preserve what is left of Ukraine as a state and as a military that can become a very dangerous-to-Russia terror state and a very severe insurgency within the new Russia territories, they need a freeze.

A NATO force of any kind would be destroyed like the destruction of the Ukie group that squatted under the Antonovsky Bridge and was destroyed by Iskanders today. So, it ain't going to happen. This is bloviation from Brussels types and Russophobic Euros who talk big but sleep in bunkers hoping Putin won't target them.

Russia needs 500 km of a security zone. That finishes Kiev. It puts Russia's de facto border up to the Carpathian zone. So a deal will be arranged with Ukie neighbors and the rest of Ukraine will be parceled out as soon as the neighbors accept Russia's rules. Is NATO ready for this? Not politically. It will take a few more years to get to that spot.

Russia is enjoying the benefits of destroying the West's weapons. The rest of the world will be ordering Russian military weapons systems.

NATO understands that their military will look like Ukraines and their cities will look like Bakhmut if they go to war with Russia. And it will not take months. It will be in hours in some cases and a few days in the others.

Don't forget, the US needs to preserve its buffer, NATO, for its own security and for supposed use against China. It cannot risk losing that, which it will, swiftly and forever.

The West has just realized that Gerasimov suckered them into this static war along a 1000 km front. Doing it without a NoFly Zone. One of the most effective defensive machines capable of grinding full armies of men and machines day after day. So far, three armies have been ground to meat and burnt metal armor.

The West also sees that Putin has an economy that even under draconian sanctions is growing and has low inflation. It is on a war footing, but not anywhere near full wartime stress. Yet, it is outproducing the entire West for a wider range of weapons and ammunition. And it still has the capacity to mobilize another 2 million men if needed with a society that backs the President by 90%.

And always keep this in mind. China, Iran and North Korea are available for industry, parts, logistical (transport) and volunteer manpower if ever needed.

I would add this: if Kadyrov whistled to his fellow muslims around the world, half a million would be in Grozny in a few days. Hardened muslim fighters happy to help defeat the Hegemon's proxies.

Always look at the Order of Battle and the potential in the rear.

The West is being drained of its weapons and finances. Every day the West is weaker.

Russia grows stronger each day.

It's all open source Intel because it cannot be hidden. Facts are facts. (Paris is burning is symbolic of the West 'on fire'. Just look at any West nation. Compare with Russia.)

My take for what it is worth. That is why they want a freeze. They are dying.

Excellent summary.

But that's not all. If someone sends a hired assassin at you, and you gun down the assassin, does that mean you are okay now with the assassin's employer?

This will not end at the borders of Donbas, Dnieper, or Galicia.
Many in the world are raising voices against an utterly unfair system, even in Western countries.

The oligarchy, in its arrogant pride, still refuses to comprehend the gravity of a situation they brought upon themselves.

Arctic_Fox • 10 months ago

People can say whatever they want to say. "Hey, let's freeze the conflict, huh?" Yeah, whatever. But the facts on the ground are what matter.
.
I suspect that along the entire 1,000 km front, every point is open to assault by Russian forces, at a time and manner of choosing in Moscow. Meanwhile, Russia owns the skies via ground-to-space levels of layered air defense, cruise missiles to operational depth, other variations of classical air power, EW and space control.
.
I cannot imagine that US/NATO planners do not know this. Although it's easy to envision that US/NATO political hack "deciders" are clueless about the implications. Slow learners, all of them.

adski1977 • 10 months ago

"People can say whatever they want to say"

The fact that they're talking about freezing the conflict as if it could be declared unliterally while in reality it would require a bilateral agreement is odd. Their desperation is palpable.

"otherwise Russia would have legal grounds for retaliation".
Doesn't RF have such grounds even without this incident?

Goran • 10 months ago

Since no retaliation happened, I really can't tell and interpreting international agreements in general is outside of my ability.

My observation is that Russia prefers to act with support of clear arguments according to the rule of law. The West continues on a foundation of plausible deniability (lies and more lies). From a high level the two points to me look to be the rules of engagement. Lavrov is a good case study. Regarding the Pizza Missile Cafe. Lavrov clearly stated that using the Pizza joint for military purposes was a violation of internation law. Thus giving Russia legal ground to make cheese out of who ever was there at the time.

irf520 • 10 months ago

Step 1 - blow up nuclear reactor, releasing radioactive contamination across Zaporozhye region towards the Black Sea.
Step 2 - Russian forces retreat to avoid radiation
Step 3 - Ukrainians ignore radiation and march into Crimea.

If the Ukrainians blow up ZNPP surely that qualifies as a nuclear attack on Russian territory? In which case they would be perfectly at liberty to drop a nuke on Kiev.

MoatOfTheFort • 10 months ago

We collected the main thing from the statements of Sergey Lavrov at the briefing:

◾️ The West cannot substantiate its accusations of war crimes and violations of humanitarian law by Russia in Ukraine;

◾️ The Russian Federation has serious doubts about the adequacy of many Western leaders;

◾️ If anyone in the West has doubts about stability in Russia, it is "their problem";

◾️ The West should not worry about the national interests of Russia, it came out stronger from all the troubles;

◾️ The export of Russian fertilizers and foodstuffs continues, despite all the obstacles from the West;

◾️ Russia, in the event of termination of the grain deal, will provide supplies to the poorest countries at its own expense in the required volume;

◾️ Russia sees no reason to extend the grain deal;

◾️ The Russian Federation will seek the truth about the situation of children's rights in Ukraine on the basis of its investigation;

◾️ The topic of the work of US laboratories in Ukraine is not closed, Russia continues to provide data on the development of biological weapons in them;

◾️ If Finland decides that it is necessary to return to normal relations with the Russian Federation, Moscow will consider the proposals, taking into account the entry of Helsinki into NATO;

◾️ Lavrov called strange Blinken's statement about the end of the conflict in Ukraine "by diplomatic means, through negotiations", recalling that the West constantly talks about the need to first defeat Russia;

◾️ The West is trying to temporarily freeze the conflict in Ukraine and buy time to pump up Kyiv militarily;

◾️ The Russian Federation does not see the need for the previous volumes of diplomatic contacts with the West, as before the start of the Ukrainian events;

◾️ The Patriarch of Constantinople did not send appeals and proposals regarding the fate of the Orthodox in Ukraine;

◾️ The Patriarch of Constantinople, under the leadership of the United States, is doing everything to destroy Orthodoxy;

◾️ RF does not see unfriendly nations, but sees unfriendly governments;

◾️ The Russian Federation and Serbia are coordinating the arrival of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country in Russia after the disruption of the visit of the Russian delegation to Belgrade;

◾️ The Russian Federation is grateful to the government and President of Serbia Vučić for being open to contacts with the Russian side;

◾️ The Dnieper has entered its usual course, the damage after the breakthrough of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station is being eliminated quite quickly;

◾️ The Russian Federation is in solidarity with the Serbian people on the UN resolutions on Kosovo;

◾️ The fate of the agreements between the countries of Africa and PMC "Wagner" depends on these states themselves;

◾️ There is no certainty that the West is investigating Bucha, no data has been provided;

◾️ Lavrov said he regularly reminds Guterres of the need to clarify the situation with the dead in Bucha, "but so far nothing is happening";

◾️ One of the goals of the special operation in the Russian Federation is to solve humanitarian problems in Ukraine;

◾️ To achieve justice in the framework of the investigation of crimes in the House of Trade Unions in Odessa and on the "Maidan" will not work;

◾️ The Russia-Africa summit will present the prospect of cooperation for several years;

Why not assemble at each of the residences of the French parliament members and demand change to domestic polices or force them to resign?
