me pretending to be an f(x) member to get to their vaulted tracks

aesyulreyi • 10 months ago

this reminds me of those celebrity scam texts that were like “hey girl, its me beyoncé! my tour bus broke down and i need $135,000 to fix it! would you mind sending me your credit card info to help with the payment?”

i_guess_i_need_an Account • 10 months ago

I mean that's not too far off from all the korean celebrity debt scandals.
"Wow your daughter is a famous actress?! She has been on tv that means you as the parent must be totally trustworthy as well! I guess you could just ask your daughter yourself but you probably lost her number. Let me give you all my money!"

marc • 10 months ago

tbh is the producer just lying to save themselves? like why would you just give someone all their songs like nothing.

yellow • 10 months ago

I'M FUCKING CRYING LMAOOO

yeojachingues • 10 months ago

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Maeryir • 10 months ago

Wtf… is it that easy to fool the producer 🥲 he is weird too why would u send music files just like that ?

This is like those random twitter accounts with the «  i am jungkook and i lost my wallet, please send 100$  »

give me your cat • 10 months ago

"IF" it's really true that the producer was deceived and not just bullshitting to save his ass, then no wonder the person targetted him. he must "really' be gullible. the person must have really known a bts member and knew how they usually worded their messages that's why this producer was deceived so easily. i wouldn't wonder too if bts themselves chose to withdraw the lawsuit for the sake of their member's "friendship" with that person. sighh. look at what jealousy can do. but people should be more careful.

Kang Ha Na • 10 months ago

Im not even exaggerating when I say this is a harsher punishment than Ive seen Korean courts give r@pists and abusers

Kang Ha Na • 10 months ago

"On July 6, South Korea watched the man responsible for organizing the world’s largest child sexual exploitation market walk out of the Seoul Penitentiary, unshackled and a free man.

The man, Son Jong-woo, 24, had been sentenced to just 18 months for his stewardship of a veritable digital torture chamber—the same sentence handed to a South Korean man convicted of stealing 18 eggs after starving for more than 10 days".- VICE

mint choco pastel ✨ • 10 months ago

south korea's justice system is an absolute shitshow and a JOKE

guest • 10 months ago

I came to post that same thing. There is a bigger punishment for stealing song clips than running that trafficking ring where he was making minors cut their nipples off and eat their own shit on camera or he would send men to their apartments to rape them.
Sorry for being so graphic but people who haven't heard of this need to know.

Kang Ha Na • 10 months ago

They need to start naming judges (thats what we do in Ireland) who hand down these light sentences cos I guarantee they wont be so bláse about doing so if the public know their name and face, especially if its a judge who repeatedly hands down lighter sentences for sex crimes as opposed to other crimes

A380 > B747 • 10 months ago

Oh wow, the police arent protecting the citizens from the criminal, its the other way around

sana • 10 months ago

wtf???

woodzs • 10 months ago

one year and two months? thats short as hell too. why are korean courts so afraid of giving strong sentences

Kang Ha Na • 10 months ago

The vice article I took the quote from in my comment reply to my comment, touches on why such light sentences/punishments (cos a lot of the time its just suspended sentence, probation or fine) are given to r@pists abusers molka recorders, as its a gender equality issue and how Korea has not developed like other developed nations when it comes to womens rights, but in terms of cases like this I dont know why sentences are still so short. You never hear of someone receiving a life sentence there

Jeejee • 10 months ago

Don't remind us :'(

village idiot • 10 months ago

how the hell did the producer fall for that....

Kang Ha Na • 10 months ago

My thoughts exactly its giving "Hey this is Beyoncé I know youre a big fan and I cant access my cards so can you send $250 to this cashapp so I can make the next stop of my tour and I will give you tickets"💀💀💀

eli • 10 months ago

10. Seems like that person was close to the BTS members... delusional

true he must be a close friend or stuff or trainee , any ways he is a bitter person, ahhh I really wanna know what was going in his mind plus the lawsuit withdrawal after thought of his

I guess the members withdraw the lawsuit as most of as know these guys are too kind sometimes

ON VACATION • 10 months ago

I kinda think that too because why would they withdraw the lawsuit??????
It seems like someone bts members knows from the past? Idk

mattbin lover • 10 months ago

why would trainees get access to BTS files

damn • 10 months ago

Pretended to be a member and contacted a producer for the music file. Basically voice phishing

monchildnj • 10 months ago

marc • 10 months ago

monchildnj • 10 months ago

that's on the producer himself to file a lawsuit/complain

And who is that?

SomeoneSomethingSomewhere • 10 months ago

I'll bet HYBE changed their cross-employee communication user verification policies REAL quick after this (if they didn't, they are dumb)

Hi • 10 months ago

i mean the guy career is ruined already, he's already suffering but i bet Hybe put a lesson to all the staff to not do it again even so that guy is stupid.. it's no wonder there were leaks of BTS music since 2 years ago

Liv • 10 months ago

They wouldn’t. BigHit is infamous for their lack of “security” or punishment when it comes to employees.
Their staff leaked members’ private IG accounts, picture, videos, files, sold clothes to stalkers, etc. Most of these still work there.
Remember Jimin’s leaked private info (social security, address, insurance, etc)? That was also leaked by their employee, and that person STILL works there, just not with BTS anymore.
