She was in Cannes last month with Song Kang Ho, Jeon Yeo Been, Lim Soo Jung, Oh Jung Se and director Kim Jee Woon for 'Cobweb' movie premiere who receive 12 minutes stand ovation and was critically well praised. The premiere in Korea will be in September. Also she appeared in 2 vlogs in Cannes and made a participation in Jae Jae Channel with the women of Cobweb for a interview on yt too.

Why don’t her acting projects ever create buzz? Like Yoona, Seohyun, etc have all been in some pretty big projects but people only talk about idol Krystal still

imo, i think she's looking more for critical acclaim than popularity, cause she did prision playbook and the OCN dramas Player and Search and both has a lot of action scenes, mistery, thriller etc and OCN was focused in being cinematic kdramas, the public who watched these kinda of dramas is more selected and OCN was a cable channel. Then, when she was in KBS for Police University and Crazy Love, I think she was giving a try and looking for popularity but in these two cases, was more popular kdramas going on ex: Crazy Love was in the same time of Business Proposal, plus BP was in Netflix while CL in Disney+ and they're not the best in promoting their dramas and dont have the same popularity like Netflix. Right now, I hope 'Cobweb' could be her game changing, she also mentioned she wants to try Slice of Life and Saeguk kdramas cause was genres she wasnt into yet. What I like about her is that she knows the critism and sterotypes for being a idol turned into actress so she never take a step bigger than her legs, so I hope and cheer for her to finds a way to be more sucessful as an actress and remebered not just for being a idol.

Edit: also, you metioned Seohyun but I dont think she is more sucessful than Krystal in acting in this case btw, but I hope she finds her way to be more sucessful in Soshi actress-line as well too.

High kick, prison playbook, the heirs weren't big project?? Eventhough she just play supporting role, those still big projects which keep her in radar as an actress. Upcoming movie coweb is ambitious project too, maybe not commercially, but arthouse wise since it got played in cannes

Her kdramas don't really become hallyu hits and tbh I think that's why she's been more involved in film recently. Her film career has gotten her much more critical acclaim in a short period of time than her drama career has in over a decade.

her last drama was crazy love in 2022. coweb (her film that she went to cannes with) is going to be released in 2023 so she is promoting with them (the cast had an MMTG episode together too). she is the brand ambassador for audi, polo ralph lauren, pomellato, lancome and tsubaki so she is constantly having pictorials and/or attending brand events. from what i know, she doesn't have a casting news so far for a kdrama or a movie. she could have been casted for player season 2, however it's confirmed she won't be. her company isn't treating her well either imo, they are terrible at marketing when it comes to support her projects. with that being said, i hope we'll get casting news from her soon.

i also think there's better agencies than H& like soop, namoo, sarament, BH ent and even KKBSS. I also like a lot of H& Ent actors besides Krystal, like Ju Jihoon and Chun Woohee but I think they slack in promoting all their artists tbh. They could do a better website, naver blogs, yt vlogs/BTS, a Twitter acc, organizing fanmeetings and update their artists schedule like most of the others agencies do.
Edit: I know actors agencies are diff than idols, and I dont follow idols, just idols who's actors (most 2nd gen) and kdramas/kactors so I know when a agency can do more for their artists.

Hopefully, if she decide to leave H&, she will go to soop where kim jae wook already there (my inner mimi couple is speaking🤣) . But almost all acting agency kinda suck at promoting, except namoo (they always has ways to get even their less talented actors got booked for big acting project)

this is why i said "in my opinion" and that h& is bad about the "marketing" of her projects. i am glad krystal signed with a great acting company and she has been steadily taking part in various projects, showing different sides of her acting and in a great scale, however the non-existing or delayed marketing on the company's side is not doing her projects any favor. most of the people do not even know about her cannes vlogs, for example. i'm just saying their marketing is something the company can focus to improve on.

Oh no H& definitely have their favorites and Krystal isn't one of them. Now I'm not saying they're out right mistreating her and the lack of projects is probably just due to her not accepting any work rn. But H& have some of the worst promos I've seen.

Absolutely no announcements for when Krystal is about to do events. Most times fans find out randomly when we see journalist pictures that Krystal even had an activity that day. They're just a very unorganized company rn imo. And they have tons of actors under their belt and only a few of them get somewhat decent promo. They even had an actress leave last year and didn't even bother announcing her contract was up to begin with

I love this drama, but sadly it aired the same time with bussiness proposal🥲, the 1-2 eps kinda boring, but the rest are great, i like CL more than BP, more mature and make sense and the kissing scene is daebak🤣 love it.
