I saw a recent article that said Koch's (and by extension River's) Postulates weren't important or relevant for COVID. Keep in mind that propaganda runs in at least two directions.
A mere dissent to propaganda or false info is not necessarily the truth.

There can be little doubt that people are getting sick, and dying, even if just from the flu. So why isn't the "brain trust" of "Investigators" finding better treatments or cures for those illnesses & deaths.

A challenge for you:
Do a country by country , year by year comparison of populations versus deaths versus death rates versus births, etc.
Be even more thorough, like even including other factors, like demographics, to account for other possible factors like aging populations.
You'll see that death rates are up, in many countries.
But you'll see some other interesting facts & trends that go along with that, like the fact that death rates generally have been going up year after year, for decades or longer.
Why is THAT happening?

In Japan, for example, since the early 2000's, total deaths have now surpassed total births, thus Japan is actually seeing total population decreases.

Thus a larger question should perhaps be why are deaths rates continuing to increase in many "developed" countries?

Thus there are "truths" coming from both sides, i.e. there have been "excessive" deaths, but it depends on how one defines "excessive". Are increased deaths this year outside of norms & standard deviations?
There has been no "unadulterated" "isolation" of the virus, but that is not possible to do.
But there are massive failures, inaccuracies, lies, etc. similarly coming from "both" sides.

I am extremely skeptical of the broad "covid" narrative.

Primarily, and again, you can't simply isolate a virus, free of any other cells.
Plus, the human body is NOT a simple, singular entity. What occurs in one persons body may likely not occur in anothers.
What infects or results in negative consequences in one person may not infect or result in the same negative consequences of another.
Penicillin is a good example. It has been live saving for many, but deadly for others (often via allergic reaction in those others).

The human microbiome is a complicated system that humans still don't understand, largely because it varies so much from one person to another.
Ditto for viruses, even bacteria & fungi. The Murine Norovirus, for example, previously thought as merely pathogenic, has been demonstrated in numerous studies to perhaps provide quite beneficial actions (seeking to repair highly-compromised immune systems).
Plus, different colonies of species and quantities of different microbes in different bodies result in different reactions to different agents.

And the fact we're dumping more & more toxic sewage sludge on our croplands in contemporary times, as "fertilizer", leading to negative consequences of the microbes that work to create natural vitamins, natural antibiotics, natural antivirals, natural allelochemicals, and such in our foods.

Our neighbor contacted covid or so he believes and was sick for days. He always wore his mask, distanced himself, and not sure if he took nutrition to help himself, but for 3 days he was delirious and had no memory of anything and finally prayed to God to either heal him or take him. He was healed and when he woke up he was amazed at how his home looked, a mess!! He is a neatnick.

They have never truly isolated the virus. All sequences come from a computer genomic database, not from an actual viral sample from an infected person.
