Effing hilarious.

EXECUTIVE ORDER - "No Americans are allowed to buy or read this book."

"RawDogTrial" Jenny • 3 years ago

I am good with the highlights.

Dr. Stephen Falken • 3 years ago

John Bolton probably know a hell of a lot better what is actually classified.
I bet he even knows the definition of classified, seems Trump does not.

"RawDogTrial" Jenny • 3 years ago

Of course. No way the publisher printed that book without being sure.

Trump is just driving sales for Bolton...like an idiot.

Ralphie • 3 years ago

or trump and Bolton are colluding and driving up SALES !!

"RawDogTrial" Jenny • 3 years ago

Diabolical!

Ralphie • 3 years ago

It is probable

Ed • 3 years ago

And Ralphie is touting criminal behavior, and chortling that you can't prove it, so he can get away with it, as if that is a good thing, and that it doesn't mean shit to him if a president engages in illegal activity!

This is the mindset of Trump supporters today....

Ed • 3 years ago

Personal insult, Ralphie...not allowed.

Ralphie • 3 years ago

not at you... I said "A" douchebag"...

Lefty11 • 3 years ago

😂😜🙄

Ralphie, trying to pull an Alt Facts personal insult deflection Squirrrrel out of his arse.

Say it ain’t “sarcastically” so, Ralphie! 😂

Ralphie • 3 years ago

Lol

Ed • 3 years ago

Weak, Ralphie. If you expect me to believe an idiotic comment in reply to me that says "hey look, a douchebag makes insults..." is not a direct reference to me, you are kidding yourself....

Ralphie • 3 years ago

Lol

Max147 • 3 years ago

Where should we look then to follow your "hey look!" statement?

Ralphie • 3 years ago

Line ... | Me....

You can insult the comment, but not the poster.

Max147 • 3 years ago

You said "hey look"
Im asking....LOOK WHERE?

As the day draws nigh we're going to see more and more of Trump's toadies turn against him as a means to cover their own asses because they all got involved in this for money and power.

Ralphie • 3 years ago

Imagine if the left found out that Trump and Bolton, Trump and Omerossa, Trump and niece Mary, trump and etc etc etc... had an agreement that they split the proceeds based on the book's sales... all trump needs to do is publically bash the book and the sheep dems will buy it up...

Walhalla • 3 years ago

As Trump supporters can’t read, he would indeed rely on his political opponents for book sales.

Ralphie • 3 years ago

which means, the left are indeed dupes... (based on YOUR assessment)

Walhalla • 3 years ago

The only dupes are those who think that someone desperately looking to stop. Book from getting published, would like it to get published.

Ralphie • 3 years ago

It already is published. Copies have been shipped...

Now all you need is publicity. And look what Trump is doing....

OldSundance • 3 years ago

Good point. It's just like any democrat mentioning anything and the right will automatically be against it.

Ralphie • 3 years ago

on the contrary... trump passed many bills that were mostly supported by democrats only...

i remember like it was yesterday that schumer was thrilled over a spending bill (the budget) of 2017 saying something along the lines of "we would have never gotten such a spending bill with a democrat president".

Lefty11 • 3 years ago

Imagine if Ralphie found himself on Alt Facts Planet!

Oh wait. 😜😝🙄

Fact is, there will be scores of books on the stupidity, ignorance, derangement, narcissism, sociopathy and criminality of this world ridiculed moron!

So that America can say:

‘Read these books and NEVER, let the Stupids win again!’

James Leno • 3 years ago

What you are describing is a criminal form of corruption at the very top of the government. Trump's government.

Do you really think that the DEMOCRATS would be in the wrong there???

Ralphie • 3 years ago

lol please list the statute(s) that says trump cant collaborate with an author to fake an outrage over a book...

Ed • 3 years ago

§ 2635.702 Use of public office for private gain.

An employee
shall not use his public office for his own private gain, for the
endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private
gain of friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity, including nonprofit organizations of which the employee is an officer or member, and persons with whom the employee
has or seeks employment or business relations. The specific
prohibitions set forth in paragraphs (a) through (d) of this section
apply this general standard, but are not intended to be exclusive or to
limit the application of this section.

(a) Inducement or coercion of benefits. An employee
shall not use or permit the use of his Government position or title or
any authority associated with his public office in a manner that is
intended to coerce or induce another person, including a subordinate, to provide any benefit, financial or otherwise, to himself or to friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity.

You're welcome!

Ralphie • 3 years ago

but maybe schiff and nadler didnt even think about this possible collusion between "enemies" .... lets hope they pursue this further...

Ralphie • 3 years ago

he is "not" publicly endorsing the books... in fact, he's against it... publicly...

Ed • 3 years ago

Your contention was that he was doing what he was doing for PRIVATE GAIN or the Private gain of relatives or friends ("..
Trump and Bolton, Trump and Omerossa, Trump and niece Mary, trump and
etc etc etc... had an agreement that they split the proceeds based on
the book's sales.")

Now, read it again, and tell me how he wouldn't be in violation of the law I cited if the idiotic comment you made was in fact what he was doing, Ralphie....

Ralphie • 3 years ago

yes. my point is that

1) what *IF* he did work out an agreement with the authors for him to feign outrage for private gain...
2) Now - try to prove it - as difficult as it is...
3) what are the penalties for violating this law? What if they find out AFTER trump leaves office? You cant impeach him then...

and a side question: what is the difference between this book scenario and Trump profiting NOW from his office (Trump hotels, The Trump name, the Trump brand)? And other presidents writing a book and getting paid while still in office? is that not the same profiting??

Ed • 3 years ago

So, basically, if your scenario is as you say, and there was a deal for personal gain, there is a violation of the law, but you don't care because it might be difficult to prove, and you don't know what the punishment would be?

Gotcha.

Now, tell me what president wrote a book, did a deal and got paid and/or published it while in office, like you claim ("And other presidents writing a book and getting paid while still in office?"). Please be specific. President's name, the specific book, and the date of publication or announcment of a publishing deal that occurred during their term of office. I'll wait.

Ralphie • 3 years ago

"Of thee I sing"... Obama 2010
"Change we can believe in"... obama.. 2008
"Our Enduring Spirit: President Barack Obama's First Words to America" obama 2009

"Between Hope and History" bill clinton 1996

i can go on, but can you really read?

Ed • 3 years ago

Yeah, I can.

All 3 Obama's books were written before he was elected. 2 were published before. "Of thee I sing" was published after he was in office. However, he did not profit from it. Per Forbes, "He also finished the manuscript for Of Thee I Sing: A Letter To My Daughters, which was eventually published in November 2010. He donated all post-tax profits from the children’s book to provide scholarships for children of wounded and fallen soldiers."

And writing books to promote your vision while and/or selling them while in office, as long as you do do not profit is not a violation. Do you have evidence Obama or Clinton profited from publications written in office, while in office?

Ralphie • 3 years ago

How do we know he donated his profits? Did he release his tax returns? Showing the deduction?

Ed • 3 years ago

Yes. Forbes reviewed reported it. Or are you claiming they are lying, too?

Ralphie • 3 years ago

ps. guess who's DOJ just filed a lawsuit to stop the book??

maybe valid?? maybe a way to get MORE free publicity from the media??

hmmm...... someone should tell schiff this theory...

Ralphie • 3 years ago

Why didn’t they publish it?

Ed • 3 years ago

Publish what? Paste the quote I provided into google, and the Forbes story appears. Like magic!

Ralphie • 3 years ago

probably easier to just post the link.. ??

James Leno • 3 years ago

I can't quote you law, statute, chapter, and verse about why that might be illegal.

But I believe it is commonly referred to as "conflict of interest."

Ralphie • 3 years ago

ed above just did. its close too... but not quiet good enough

Ralphie • 3 years ago

there is no such thing as "conflict of interest" in a sales agreement... in law, lawyers, judges, sure... but not between two private parties...

James Leno • 3 years ago

So there it is. The President of the United States is both a public servant and a private citizen. In the example you give, he would be using his public office to enrich his private fortune (Thanks, Ed!).

Ralphie • 3 years ago

except trump isnt "promoting" the book... he's publicly bashing it...

the question is - can one prove trump bolton collusion? if you can, then maybe schiff and nadler can start another impeachment...

if I am right however, trump is making MILLIONS off of these books...

Imagine a Trump COMEY collusion??!! Most would say "NO CHANCE IN HELL!" but think about the tens of millions made off of that book...

money makes for strange bed fellows...
