Good, GTFO and don't let the door hit ya...

James Leno • 4 years ago

So, conservatives are moving out of California. People are moving out of California. Fine.

The Wine Country is staying. Silicon Valley is staying. Hollywood is staying. Aerospace is staying. The military bases are staying.

So yeah, go ahead and keep repeating how people are leaving California. But unless INDUSTRIES move out of California, this is article just contains empty rhetoric.

No, I don't.

I don't believe that wineries are going to pull up their vines and re-plant them on the Mississippi river.
I don't believe Paramount, Universal, Columbia, et al are going to abandon their existing sound stages to rebuild them in San Antonio.
I don't believe the USMC will close down Camp Pendelton and relocate it to Kansas City. Nor that the USN will shut down Miramar (Top Gun) and move to Mobile.
Silicon Valley? Well, they can do their work anywhere in the world. But those companies don't show any signs of moving at all.

Are there any conservative Californians left? Trump once again, threaten to withhold aid for California’s forest fires. You would think that after Camp Fire burned red districts to the ground those people would wise up.

Other than sales tax, I can truthfully say that I never paid a dime of tax in California. They sent me a letter once telling me I owed income tax. I sent them my voter registration from Texas and a desist order from my lawyer.
San Fran used to be my favorite city, followed by San Diego. I worked for Silicon Valley companied for about 30 years and spent about 50% of my time out there in hotels. But I always maintained my max stay in California at 29 days. And always owned a home in Texas.

This is excellent news! Pretty soon the state will be free of these hateful, bitter, deplorable people. Hopefully the traffic gets better too. Party time in Cali.

anotherMike • 4 years ago

Well, Don't let the Door Hit ya where the Dog Bit ya . .. Heck if enough people leave I might wanna go back.

Liberal Soup N Crackers® • 4 years ago

Interesting news. A lot of them seem to be moving to the sunbelt states including Texas.

THE FAKE RED MEAT FOR THE TRUMP CULT KID: Conservative Californians Leaving In Droves ....

THE REALITY: (from the OP): Republicans and conservative voters were nearly three times as likely as their Democratic or liberal counterparts to seriously have considered moving.

Trump cult kids are such a gullible lot.

Vote with your Dollar.
(I suspect this has way more to do with taxes)

When you can theoretically buy a house in Texas for approx. $200K vice $1.5Million (on the low end) in Cali, pay less taxes, and endure a better quality of life, it just makes sense. Of course the left is gonna continue point the blame fingers instead of pointing those fingers where they really should point them: Themselves.

Lucky • 4 years ago

But you have to live in Texas...

Abby Normal • 4 years ago

There may be better places to live, but shit stained California sure as hell isn't one of them.

Lucky • 4 years ago

Sure, an ocean, mountains, beautiful parks, redwood forests, wine country, deserts etc... so ((((((((HORRIBLE)))))))!!!!

Abby Normal • 4 years ago

LOL Who you trying to convince?

Clearly you have never been to Cali... But then you comment on a LOT of stuff you know shit about Abby ;)

Abby Normal • 4 years ago

Oh I like to spend some time there. I do love the weather, but how the hell can anyone call that shit hole home with all the smug white liberals and the homeless and minorities they claim they "care" about.

At least you can claim being the state with the LARGEST WEALTH GAP of all.

Funny, I thought that was one of the things liberals were against.

Smug white liberals ?, so you only visited Berkley, LA and Los Gatos huh ? Again you don't know shite... Much of California is littered with wanna be hicks with fake country accents and BIG ASS trucks that haul nothing but air. You would probably like it away from the cities.. I personally live in the coastal mountains, I call us Mill-Billies.. We have gunz, we grow food, we are educated, we have LOTS of immigrant friends and we help the homeless whenever we can.. And when I sell my house I could probably buy 3 in your state.

What state do you call home ?

Abby Normal • 4 years ago

I'm happy for you???

Whoa whoa whoa bro, your state ?

STATE of Willful Ignorance...???

It is the nature of humans to think the grass is greener on the other side. They don’t realize it is the same color. I hope they have fun in the welfare states that are supported by the blue states.

Abby Normal • 4 years ago

Wherever there's successful conservatives, the leeching liberals are not far behind.

History has proven this time and time again.

Joe J • 4 years ago

It is so fun that red states want all the low skilled workers for their low paying jobs. Don’t worry Blue states will continue to support your states and help them run.

Typically, for conservatives, this OP leaves out important details, and is disingenuous. "despite all the chatter about an “exodus,” the 691,145 departures represent just 1.8% of the population. Only Michigan and Texas lose fewer residents on a percentage base."
https://www.mercurynews.com...

fun governor • 4 years ago

1.8% of the population enough to cause country wide changes, just ask transgenders

Guest • 4 years ago
fun governor • 4 years ago

no, i got the point...but the % is skewed as to how many people that actually is given the large population of the state

Guest • 4 years ago
Abby Normal • 4 years ago

Actually, you're making a very good point. I've come across only a handful of liberals that can use higher level thinking skills.

That said, I've seen corporation after corporation move to Texas over the past 10 years from California. The homes values have skyrocketed cause in California they are so expensive. Texas no doubt has a great business climate and that is the main reason. Conservative principles that create jobs and are good for the economy.

If you are a liberal coming from California, at some point don't you have to ask yourself, why is my job and so many others moving to Texas and put two and two together?

Red Beard • 4 years ago

Conservatives make a point of missing the point.

Joe J • 4 years ago

Texas is already a trash hole.

Abby Normal • 4 years ago

You sound like you're employed. Maybe in California?

So is it your job to scoop up the feces in the streets?

Lucky • 4 years ago

Obviously no one ever takes a crap in Texas... maybe that’s why they are full of shi..,

Abby Normal • 4 years ago

Civilized. We use toilets.

You should try it. Doesn't it stink all the time walking around in shit and drug needles?

At least the weather isn't too bad while your lying in the gutters huh?

Liberal Soup N Crackers® • 4 years ago

polish needles

I live in Texas right now I know how much of a rat hole it is.
