The overpacked vacation itinerary is a personal pet peeve. I wish I could absorb an entire city in 24hrs. But one museum or historic site per day, investigated in some depth, is more than enough for my tastes.

As a HSP and amateur photographer, I have no problem with tight itineraries. I find their structure protects me from the feeling of sinking. Itineraries keep me moving, “I’d love to linger but…”
I know that my scheduled one hour in the museum has a beginning and and end. Also, staying behind the lens offers me a bit of safety from idle social banter, a little goes a long way.

I personally don't mind surprises in fact tend to love them, but it would depend on the kind of surprise party....who's there, and then where I'm at in my life :) I can definitely see how some HSP's would be very turned off by them though <3

These are so true! My family knows to knock on the door if I'm in the kitchen, instead of barging in and making me scream in shock. I've told them on pain of death never to organise a surprise party or do a 'This Is Your Life' scenario with guests from my past popping up unannounced.
