I hope that anybody else jumps on DES Slurry, as it will be the only one that will offer software support, contrary to Reinkstone, whose team made the E-Pad.

The makers behind the E-Pad, disguised as somebody new for
the Reinkstone give themselves funny names in their Kickstarter
campaign.

The Wisky E-Pad changed its name into the E-Pad from Eewrite for their Kickstarter campaign.

After it dissapointed due to lack of software support, they were clever to
not publish the Reinkstone under their same Kickstarter campaign. The
former E-Pad was rebranded under Wiwood E-Pad. It turns out that behind
Reinkstone is Wiwood. So, Wisky=Eewrite=Wiwood=Reinkstone.

The names are changing rapidly but with the same snappy pattern, too. The
mails from Reinkstone is from a person called "Stone Li". The campaign
behind the Reinkstone campaign has a person called "Gregory Gary". And
the Eewrite kickstarter campaign called them "Terry Pike".

Don't be dissapointed by the Reinkstone, be warned that what you see is what
you get. But don't expect improvements or software functionality being
revised once they got your money. They will vanish and resurface under a
new campaign with a new funny name.

What exactly is the e-pad all about? First time hearing of this

Alexander • 2 years ago

Hi, do you think Onyx will use this technology?

Derpington • 2 years ago

I doubt it
DES Slurry is a very new thing that hasn't even had a product on the market, with the R1 still being months away. Throwing e-ink under the bus for the sake of adopting this risky new technology would be very reckless on Onyx's part.

IF it proved to be as superior as advertised they may adopt it later on, but right now they and a bunch of other manufacturers are adopting a "wait-and-see" stance.
