Btw Kita's father is based on Kitajima Saburo, irl Kitasan Black's owner. He is an enka singer and lyricist. And the name "Kitasan" comes from his name:
北島三郎 (Kitajima Saburo)
北 (kita) - "north"
三 (san) - "three"
And "Black "comes from his father, Black Tide.

I liked this episode, more character development for Kitasan is always great... I just hope this has been more than enough for her to finally accomplish some of her dreams, because so far her getting shot down at her peak is becoming repetitive.

Sure, girls losing and then going on their training arc is great but... I feel like Kitasan is not as engaging as the previous season with Teio, so hopefully things will now change for the best.

Yes this is the main gripe that I share with some people who plays the game. Kitasan is too good, she's barely an underdog and they went too strong on the rivalry with Satono diamond.

Her sadness and depressions feels kinda hollow, when she already WON 2 G1 races at this time.

Kitasan being depressed all the time is seriously getting old now even Nature find it annoying and tried to avoid her. I feel more sad for Cheval Grand she still haven't got her first G1 win. I'm looking forward to the next race
