For me is 10/10
Because, this kind of show is my top favorite >.<
I just love these conflict, romance and war stuff
I see, thanks for your comment Void.
Im gonna try to sum this anime up from start to finish since it feels like a simple one:
Soldier saves a village.
Soldier is sent to scout the empire, saves people.
Soldier returns straight into prospects of war.
War starts and the mastermind enjoys herself.
War ends and mastermind dies with objective to destroy "north ambria" accomplished.
Yes thats about it Go1.
would you recommend, or say it's a must watch?
It's a good story centered anime so there isnt much fighting in there,it feels more like a peacefull isekai camping trip with few incidents... The most memorable thing is that dissonance from when they return from colorfull empire to North Ambria covered in snow... Damn... The MGQ: Paradox administrator tower comes into my mind when i think about that dissonance.
If you like "isekai traveling/camping with some war story in the background" then i'd recommend, otherwise i have no idea who would like it from just written summary without playing the game it is based off, this is way harder to describe.
"must watch" is something that only exists if you tell me what genres you like,me recommending is just assuming "if you like "this and this that happens in the anime" then i'd recommend".
Though i can say: female voice actors in this anime did surprisingly good job, adding more "personality" to the characters they played.
yes
It was.
I said it before and I said it again, the only thing I regret from the game is they don't give you the option to join the bracer guild, after the events of Cold of Steel II but instead Rean became a puppet of chancellor Osborne and his schemes, I think the storyline would have gone better if Rean as a member of the guild
The final villain sly fox died easily just like that? I mean, surely she knew that dude approach her in order to kill her??
She probably wanted that if she didnt take countermeasures.
Context:
Hel is nordic's mythology goddess of death. And white haired woman physical appearance seems to be similar to Hel.
no clue, probably was not important
Whos ready for the final episode lets goo.
better than i thought it was
Right on TI99.
Great fight scenes.
yup. not bad
Agreed.
I liked seeing those two faceless guys get a face
Super important characters those two.
SINGA THE GOATTTTTTTTTT LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO
also, SPIRAL OF EREBOS LETS GOOOOOOOOOO
I'm glad that Lavi and everyone saved North Ambria.
Shame it was conquered by the Empire.
Looking forward to Season 2.
season 2? why? if you want to know what happens next then play Cold steel 3 and Cold steel 4
Same here, I will wait for it if there's season 2
They should make an anime of all the franchise. From Trails in the Sky FC to Trails into Reverie.
There are some OVA episodes for Sora, but other than that nothing. These guys want to make money, so there's no way they'll do that. The next best thing is to watch some playthroughs. These games' content are good for that, so I recommend it.
Yeah I have watched the playthroughs on youtube
Eyy, Sara and Rean did a combat link.
So what exactly is Jayna's Affiliation? She mentioned "Salt Pale", so I automatically assumed she has some sort of connection to the church, maybe a heretic like the "Professor" then joined the Society?
Whoa! Iseria, again never change! I love you! xD
I see, I see. They also showed some bits on who's in and what's about to happen in Cold Steel III. I guess this really just connects CS2 and CS3, and I'm very happy with that. I really have to start playing CS3 again while this is still fresh in my mind, I'm already at the last chapter on it.
Lol. Those two NPC-like Jaeger characters got their time to shine, they even got unmasked. XD
Based on Jayna's words, she wants to bring out either Silver Curse or Golden Curse, but they're simply prevented because Tally betrayed her..
I dunno what are those but all I can correlate with those are their respective element, Mirage and Space. Maybe I'll know more as I go through the game.
The one and only game that mentioned about those Curse, IIRC, is titled Trails in the Sky 3rd, which tells about the story of Kevin (he is in Cameo, the green haired guy with Red-haired sister accompanying him)
In this specific game, they told some lore about how the Bible in this world's religion is written, part of them is the story about the Goddess of this world, Aidios, and how would the game describes the Hell, which they call it 'Gehenna' here, because Kevin is a Priest and his partner, is a Sister.
I see. Maybe I just forget those terms, 'cause I played that game a long time ago. If I'm not mistaken, is it also somehow related to their Stigmas? I'm not sure, I could be wrong. ^_^
No, lol, I mean, it's just mentioned, like, you know, bad omens if the world is gonna end.. It was never mentioned explicitly what kind of Curse are they, or what exactly they do.. But in this anime, this eps, Jayna said that :
A. Silver Curse is a blight to lives, which curses all newborn babies into evil possessed spirits
B. Golden Curse is a blight to soil, which turns North Ambria into Gate of Gehenna (Gate of Hell), summoning Hell Demons into Zemuria..
Please note that
sounds like Kazuma desu.
New characters make some appearances in this last episode: Kevin and Ries (protagonists from Trails in the sky the 3rd), Roselia (grandmother of one of Rean classmates) and photos of Rean future students (Juna, Kurt, Altina, Ash and Musse).
Iseria seems to resign from being a jagger and become a Bracer guild instructor.
The OST from the last dungeon of ToCS III even played in the final moments of the episode.
4/10 mainly because I probably need to play the game to really appreciate it. Literally lost for most of the series on the world building and politics/factions.
I suggest you to play the game, start with Cold steel 1
The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki - Northern War (The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel The Northern War)
Source: Game.
Genres: Action, Fantasy, sci-fi
Studio: Tatsunoko Production.
Tatsunoko Production (Long ongoing studio,) had made quite a few treasures of anime as in franchises is they've done Macross, Cashern, Mach. Go go go (Speed Racer) Wake Up Girls.
Also known for Psyhco-pass S2, one of the most iconic well remembered anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, and another recent work in collab with Axes Pictures is Pole Princess.
Personal perspective:
This's just another anime game adaptation with the same concept as Mu-Luv and a few other war/mecha base franchise's.
With a hit or miss for crowds to watch.
Personal thoughts:
This is just another run of the mill military/ mecha anime with a passible story and with good to ok animation. The cgi is alright and the normal animation is average but the problem is too many power points that made this only passable.
Interesting story but one of those that gets me so enthusiastic about. Main girl Lavian is a good character for her background and story but She was meh on the a count that she just feels like a robot character that is there, best character is miss full of personality Iseria and is the easy fav for me personally, aside that all the male characters are forgettable also they were all stiff other than those one-shot solders whom I like the most.
As for story was good but some hard to fellow since I've never played games at all but i'm not really feeling this anime much although it's better than "Tales of Mana: The Teardropped Crystal!"
Good ED but OP so so, the ending song was good but forgettable.
Ending was good but a average series so 6/10
5/10 i expected more.
I had no expectations to this at all.
So she, the antagonist died that easily? Jayna Storm just got assassinated just like that?
tally penetrated her from behind
I don't see her as a combatant.
She looks to me more like a deluded person.
Her death fits her well, just look at her expression when she dies.
Or only about Juna because of the events of Trails to Azure where she is a NPC and what we already know about this from herself in CS3.
so lavi is the one that gave an idea for rean to become a instructor
So the faceless ones got faces and now follow her around. I have no idea what ultimately changed though, but I can make deductions based on comments I've read over the course of this series - if not for those, I would be completely lost. Weird series for an outsider.
6/10. Enjoyable to a point, but it didn't really help you much in understanding anything about its world.
Same here.
Good episode, nice anime well balanced, final rating is 7.3/10.
