HOLY HECK!!
Who else think this turn of twist is too dark?? @_@

looserr • 6 months ago

I thought there was going to a mini cheesy twist with the robots but not something THIS complicated like there is 1 villain here lol ol

Albedio • 6 months ago

what the heck!the four of them are actually human being revived as perfectly human looking robots, like astro boy.seriously what are the chances, first elizabeth n her husband, both of whom are younger than the professor, dies, then these four distinguished young men brought to be esola's tutors dies too?is his life jinxed?ironically the anti robot groups which claims to fight for humanity has killed 4 people n left a child severely injured n losing part of his memories.what more can we say about activist groups whose true agenda is to further their own goals at whatever the cost to others?in essence, eliza is modelled after his mother while those 4 are the revived form of his tutors.
it was impossible between elizabeth n the professor, their age gap is too great.he should tried looking for a soulmate when he was younger.

iCurvaceous • 6 months ago

Only thing I disagree with you is it being "impossible". For all the successful age gap relationships and families out there... Plenty of history has age gap relationships. Some people find love late, and can only have children with women who are able to bare them (which means younger than them). Your opinion is harshly judgmental and not true at all. The professor's issue was not having the courage to being upfront with his feelings from the beginning. How do you propose to someone you only know through work? As such, this was his problem. If he had done any of that earlier, he would know early stages if he was loved back or not and put a rest to his feelings, or she would have reciprocated.

Albedio • 6 months ago

yes there are exceptions but im saying its most likely their age gap will be a hindrance,as it makes more sense to have a union with one closer to ur age.even if he'd asked her earlier he may have gotten a negative from her as she only sees him as a mentor not a lover, but that'd be better as he need not hold onto false hope only to be crushed.

iCurvaceous • 6 months ago

Their age gap was not the problem is what I'm saying. Statistics show that most women are younger than their male partners in every country. Will be, and is are two different things. Its a fact that there are a good number women that like older men if we are talking globally, and even more so in eastern countries (think the teens that like their teachers and older boys in their school). The problem was that his thinking and communication was abnormal (common for scientists). The reason why she only saw him as a mentor is because he did not present anything else.

She clearly liked him as a person. She did not consider it to be anything else because she's very feminine, and chose the options presented. Feminine women don't ask men out. It's usually the other way around. He needed show signs that he was pursuing her outside of just working with her for anything to work. Age gap or no age gap.

Albedio • 6 months ago

yes its traditional that husband is usually older than the wife.but mindsets are changing.n usually not such an age gap thats too large.usually when age gap is so large its cos a young woman wants to hook up a rich old dude, much like how some younger men will hook up older rich women.so i feel its still an issue but if they were truly in love anything goes.however from what i see its him having one sided love thoughts.the mindset of women not asking men out n expecting men initiate it also seems to be backdated thinking, nowadays if women want it bad enough they will make the first move.obviously he wasnt first on her list.i agree that his thinking n communication were abnormal n awkward,n he delayed too long in making his feelings known.

Nymphaea • 6 months ago

Wow I guessed they would all be based on actual people but that was a twist I was not expecting o_o

Professor was like 70000 shades of sus from start to finish. I don't blame Esola for running out of the lab at all after learning the truth behind everything, imagine hearing your adoptive dad basically killed four people who were looking after you in order to... create androids to look after you

Albedio • 6 months ago

u mean he felt guilty for the four of them?technically they arent dead, theyve been given new life.the only problem are these anti robot jerks, who first took their lifes, abeit accidentally,n now are trying to undermine their rights to be treated like human.

iCurvaceous • 6 months ago

To be honest, I don't blame the "anti robot jerks". The government was preventing the doctor's research because it was making robots more human like. As a result, its completely justifiable that the "anti robot jerks" believed that robots did not carry feelings like humans and treated them as objects, because they were exactly that. What does a gamer do when they lose a match? They fling down their controller and sometimes even smashes it into the screen. Same for a gamer on a computer. They smash the keyboard, abuse the keys... etc. And those are just one example... we have guitarists who smash their guitars during performances of expression.

Clearly we do not care for objects, like we do living things. Even amongst living things... how many times have you stepped on a plant? Grass etc? Even here in the anime, they cannot feel physical pain because they do not have organic material for receptors... so they still don't have 100% understanding of what it means to be "living". It's an interesting approach, but until robots actually do recreate emotion, pain, feeling... they are nothing but a child's toy at the will of humans whether it be spite or love... and even when they do, they will most likely be treated and created in the same way where we assume it doesnt "harm" them like we do plants.

I truly believe if humans were successful in getting robots to imitate humans very closely, they will be treated less than how we treat plants. After all, we can't even treat animals right.

Albedio • 6 months ago

how can one avoid stepping on grass when walking?its not like we purposely do it to kill them,n it most likely doesnt damage them as theyve adapted to their place in the environment.animals step on grass all the time,so does that mean theyre being mean too?hitting sth out of momentous rage vs a malicious attack with intention to destroy are two completely different things.these anti robot fanatics look like they actually want to murder the robot for looking too human whist using the excuse that they arent human to vindicate themselves, which is utterly hypocritical.
also, who says humans treat animals less right than they treat other humans?ive seen many examples of people who love,or claim to love animals to the point of hating other humans, while playing the pity card for animals to justify what theyve done.animal attacks are forgiven while any less than cordial treatment of animals is been deemed by them as a worst sin of all,n they resort to doxxing n cyber bullying, cancel culture to achieve their goals
in any case those 4 were once human, like astro boy.they were killed as humans by these robot haters, and thats why they gotta live as robots now.they dont deserve to be hated for being something that the robot haters themselves brought upon them.

iCurvaceous • 6 months ago

You're walking right into my point. How can we put care for non living objects above those animals/plants or on equal terms to humans? Humans -> Animals -> Plants -> Any other living thing -> Objects. That's the order to precedence currently set by society. I know you know this truth. The fact that we have to eat them and plants don't have "feelings" or we assume they don't feel physical pain is the reason why they are set below animals. To be equal rights to humans, they cannot be eaten/intentfully destroyed. I'm saying objects cannot jump precedence.

You said its because they were once human, but there's several issues there. First of all, those people are no longer living or alive. Their "soul" was not "transferred", their memories were "copied". They just did not have the physical means to survive after being copied. Object imitation is not the same as living, and you think its right for them to "live" when their living families did not get a say? They also started from "scratch" except they cannot feel physical pain... that's a hole in the story too by the way. Their thinking will not be the same, and may even change overtime because they cannot hurt physically.

To your argument about rage versus malicious intent-> My point about the computer, guitar etc, was that once it served its purpose, it was appreciated, but once it did not function as desired, it was not loved like a living thing. People destroy objects on malicious intent all the time. What is a stress ball for 200 please? They even do it to objects without its natural intent being relieving stress.

And how is it hypocritical to not want human-like robots, and destroy them on the basis of being objects? Last thing they knew, the robots had zero emotions or physical feelings. That goes with logical precedence order. That was what their world government set for them and why their government was against the scientist's research to begin with. Their basis for attacking them in the first place was that they werent able to have human emotions, or feel physical pain so it was a possible object to vent. When you vent at a stress ball do you think about caring for it? They shouldnt do it because thats not a robot's intended purpose? Their whole point was that the robots weren't fulfilling their desired purpose and killing humans. Notice they never attacked the mc human.

Albedio • 6 months ago

wow...amazing,one single anime n u have so much to talk about u can go abut koping from here n there?im not even sure i wish to or see the purpose in discussing to this extent, which seems to be to the point of debating to no end.
nevermind the cheap knockoffs u so ardently brag about,i dont see how u can see the robots depicted here as being so human n still insist they are objects.u sound like one of those anti robot exclusionists featured.concerts where they smash guitars,u know what violent entertainment is?thats what.why do people enjoy seeing violent sports like boxing or wrestling?what about underground cage matches?is seeing humans pummel each other for their entertainment enjoyable?just smashing a keyboard out of rage at losing a game can hardly be compared to a planned n group concerted attack witchunt on robots n smashing stray robots for pleasure, thats going out of the way n deriving sadistic pleasure from it.thats deliberate vandalism, rioting even, even if u insist on coining them as objects.
point is,any lifeform which can communicate n reason with us on the same level n know very well that stabbing us with a sharp object will do us harm n refrain from doing so...are we to treat them any less or different just because their biological make up is different or that they came from outside this planet?do unto others what u want others do unto u?

Pretty good episode was really nice.

He made a choice gave them a second chance of living.

Great job professor a pity he did not see them flourish.

Codric • 6 months ago

I strongly doubt it was about "giving them a second chance", he clearly didn't have their interest in mind. The did have a decent chance of survival, after all, so they may not have needed a "second chance", had he not intervened.

Paradise SLU • 6 months ago

You have a point there they did had a chance of survival thanks Codric.

Paradise SLU • 6 months ago

Nice backstory always get me.

Its sad that Elizabeth died tragically with her husband, the professor will do a great job raising Esola.

The professor needs to rest, looks severely ill after coughing up blood not a good sign.

May Thiri • 6 months ago

I had a theory that they were humans at first cause they managed to have feelings, but damnnnn

B-project fan💕 • 6 months ago

Damn.

george leo • 6 months ago

Interesting twist. I knew their were humans at first. I hope esola doesn't blame himself.😟😟

"Your dad was actually your adoptive father, and a real creep who not only was unhealthily obsessed with a woman even after she married someone else, but also murdered four dudes and used them as a base for creating androids to raise you."

...okay, but I thought I was here to watch pretty boys dance and sing? >_> And maybe solve a Scooby-Doo mystery.

GreenTea Gal • 6 months ago

well the after credits from ep 1 kinda tells you this was gonna hit different

Been waiting for this reveal but....OMFG😭💔💔

Düölingöhhh Snorlax • 6 months ago

Well… Glad to know that Esola’s ‘’father’’ is feckeddd up.
Also… 4 randomly excellent individuals just gather like that to raise a kid??? Wtf is this dystopian bs??? Where does the funding come from?!?!?!

wwlaos • 6 months ago

Right? These four random dudes with their own lives and goals all gave up years of their life just to raise one random kid. That was the most unbelievable part of the whole series so far. XD

iCurvaceous • 6 months ago

They were all able to speak japanese(or whatever language they spoke). 2 out of 4 of them cared excessively about kids. This tells us at the very least:

-Their location was not far away.
-Half of them at least had genuine involvement with seeking and improving child development.

This makes it absolutely possible for them to meet to simply spend "family bonding" with a child and get paid for it. Have you seen care . com? Plenty of people do this as a norm everyday. 2 of them did it as a living, so it could very well be assumed that the other 2 could have done it part time or just needed enough pay to be convinced. That being said idk where he got the money from that. Seeing as he was a highly paid scientist (he was the head of the research team) and single for many many years, my only safe assumption is to assume he was a high earner with no family... thus saving lots of money. I mean, someone had to be funding his work to afford for the lab and such anyways.

Albedio • 6 months ago

it mustve taken one heck of a convincing to bring them altogether.

Paradise SLU • 6 months ago

1st to arrive no ones here yet.

Gooorrrlll not the ‘’human brain only uses 10%’’ bs. It’s all the current science can detect, not even proven yet :p

wwlaos • 6 months ago

Only about 10% of the human brain is in use at the same time, but it's not the same 10%. Practically all of the brain is used, we can detect activity from everywhere, it's not like there is some mystery area of the brain that doesn't work. Just that the human body rarely needs to use more then (actually about 13%) of the brain's processing power at any one time, and the areas in use change depending on the body's current needs and external stimuli.

That old myth about 90% of the brain being unused is indeed wrong. It all gets used. But usually only a fraction of it at any one time.

Except when watching hentai. Then 100% of the brain is activated. :P
