This is a legit contender for worst anime of the year and we're still in January. It's not quite Gibiate levels of bad, more like the Chinese Harem 'Anime' that are being put out. Baffling and awful.

At least in the first season the MC was traveling around building his strength and his harem, made up of humans and transforming animals that can take on a human visage. All whilst encountering new enemies, new settings, saving cities, etc. It was trash but it was amusing trash.

It was kinda funny to see the sudden JoJo faces, but now that they've over used it, it feels kinda meh...

trippin. mid would be something like dragon ball, the only thing keeping it floating is pure nostalgia. its fun to watch but not close to being a top anime like OP, death note, HxH, AOT, or heck even demon slayer has better progress. i will say this anime is in the garbage lot but its amusing in some respects. Jojo has been around for years and isnt afraid of changing things up and evolving. its creative.

I mean its the most trash isekai of the season. We watch it because its trash at its core not because its some mushoku tensei.

This show is bad, but still enjoyable.

yup, at least give them minimal protection via their armor. enchant it to give em mind control/possession resistance, fire and bla bla bla resistance. it IS a magic school... you've got alll those students who need to practice magic... have some practice by making armor and enchanting it. oh and geeee! put an alarm on that protective spell. and detect evil. annd bla bla bla bla bla bla.

So... here's the issue:
Unnecessary stuff added in [Doesn't even exists in manga]. I know they want to make it different than manga. I can see some students not animated... and... They added many unnecessary references or weird stuff like the prince doing water magic dance, DOES IT EVEN EXISTS?! >_>???!!! He didn't do that in manga though... Manga had it much normal than this...

Skipping, replace, remove, add in, unnecessary references[that never exist in manga] and overused reference/joke... tbh, I feel disappointed :(
Those stuff I mentioned did killed the mood all of the sudden.

the dance is a reference to the James Bond movie Skyfall. look at all the backgrounds... they aren't Japanese. Bond movies for multiple decades now have a 'signature theme song' that almost always includes the NAME OF THE MOVIE in the song. watch the Skyfall music video and i wonder if that sequence with the Prince will match up somewhat with that music video?

That dance he did when casting a spell is... both cringe and... I don't know what to say...
But, Cid's "I am Atomic" alone made me trying hard to forget it and now this guy who did a dance just to cast a spell... I don't know what is this feeling at my chest, not painful but it feels like trying to squeeze its way inside and make me want to cover my face with my palms while feeling down...

Ofc, Cid's "I am Atomic" is better than this dance.
Cid's phrase only killed my mood when his fight got excited af for me. But, this dance was lame [yup, that's the word, I remembered] to being with... that it probably became the last land mine to make me type these whole criticism...

It would have been bearable, perhaps even funny, in moderation.

That it somehow manages to be even more cringe than Wiseman's Grandchild is a bloody accomplishment.

Another manga beliver.. Not know should i cry or laught people still doing this on comments. Saying how bad anime is when it wont do exactly like manga did. When most cases (like this) anime is based books/novels which means that is original material not the wreacking manga.
You know manga remove and add things and they might not exist in original material.. Complety joke people doing this and not even knowing where anime is based for.

Im not saying are you right or wrong, because not familiar novels of this anime, but cmon do your homework before complain.

If they want a change, it could've been something to the storyline and characters NOT in a way that make them look lame...

I know well this isn't an original anime and it was based on light novel since season 1 because I did tried to search for its manga after season 1 is over to continue it, yet there isn't enough chapter. Then, I went to search again and found a light novel version of it.

It isn't that I didn't do my homework before complain, more like u completely misunderstood me.

1. I don't like to leave an anime half-way watched. I finished season 1, might as well see it through till the end.

2. I don't care if an anime is bad or good for others. I would just watch it anyway. For me, anime is interesting for their art and plot. It is that simple. As for this one... the plot is acceptable, I stay for the plot. I didn't say this anime sucks so bad, just simply disappointed by what they did there. The plot is acceptable, but as I said... unnecessary things that kill the mood. It is about the sudden mood killer scenes. I stayed not for harem nor anything else, just for the plot. I want to see how Seiichi will saves his schoolmates and deal with demon lord army. Story > Everything else.

3. I rarely or almost never seen to criticize an anime. So, I'm surprised that I actually tried to judge this episode. Perhaps, it just show how much I hoped they stick to more to manga than doing too much "extra".
