racing anime fans are lucky this season for having 2 racing anime
i like the 90s style of mf ghost
but this one looks intetesting too
i remember the first racing anime i watched F on tv
although they didnt finish broadcasting it

Time. • 9 months ago

Hopefully this anime original lives up to us racing anime fans. Really loving how there actually using F1s.

arra1213 • 9 months ago

im learning alot from this show specially whats happening on the background scene
so far its good and i love the animation specially the color they used

vio • 9 months ago

considering you didnt mind the retro feel of mf ghost, you may enjoy watching another racing anime called capeta. It may end up teaching you even more than this episode did as the mc ends up taking racing classes. Also, it goes into detail about the costs of each racing bracket and how even something like go-karting can lead to F1 racing. You'll also realise how laughable that scene after the credits was with that camera man saying he'll sponsor the team. Unless his got a lot of cash in the bank, he'll be struggling to cover the cost of the tires used in the races per year.

arra1213 • 9 months ago

thanks for the recommendation dude ill try it once i finished some of the old anime im watching
yeah since im a 90s kid lol
f is the first racing anime ive seen then initial d
mfg and this show are only my 3rd and 4th
as for the sponsor thing yeah lol camera guy is probably rich theres this wave flashback from him probably hes some sort of luxufy cruise rich guy before lol

heniadir • 9 months ago

F4 and are not so expensive, a low profile team can survive with around 50K$ (7.5milion yen), sponsors also 2/3k$ or 300/400k yen is a big help.

vio • 9 months ago

I looked over a couple of wiki pages to gather a little information regarding that after seeing your post.

one racing season can cost anywhere between 50k to 100k euro's but not exceed that amount. The thing I'm curious about is the break down of what that seasonal cost can be used for as you have to pay for new tires and fuel per race. I'm not sure if they pay for track rental but that alone can cost up to 10k euro's per day for the drivers to practice on.

Then there is more to consider such as travel costs (fuel + toll gates) between each race location and hotel fees. Also, there is the issue of crashes and if replacement cars are they also considered in that seasonal cost as they can cost up to 30k euro's but not exceed that.

It's hard to put a value on the photographers salary in this anime because he seems to be suffering from yips when taking pictures of people so that is impacting his salary.

There are few races generally are "garage/shops" with a truck for moving car and low profile team/pilot are amateurs, they provide for themself, "big" team generally are supported by big company (toyota/honda/etc...) and are a testground for future pilot maybe for SuperGT, the same base car is good also for poor team and a good poor pilot can win big contract.

jeti • 9 months ago

you have to include the logistics and the riddiculous gas prices if this series is following the current oil crisis situation lol

heniadir • 9 months ago

Logistic as I wrote for little team is a simple truck, and gasoline per race do not have tax, generally tax for gasoline is around 80% of prize now 102 octane in Japan is around 160yen/l (95octane is 10yen cheap) remove 80% of tax and...surprize gasoline is cheap.

ou thats a good one i can recommend Future Cyber Formula all seasons starting from S1 witch has very old animation but for people that dont mind that just the Raw racing experience it provides is a very fun watch and it's animetion gets better and better with each season as well as it progresses into basically an tournament arks with pure racing for winning that first place with signature moves for passing and what not it has a bit of fictional tech and its more teen cartoony oriented closer to an anime version of Nascar Racers the cartoon than what i can see from this anime and Capeta witch are closer to RL racing with out futuristic sci fi tech but non the less its a worth watch and for racing fans that like Robots as well and more silly team oriented racing IGPX Immortal Grand Prix is a good one i love how that one has a good team bonding and progressive experience with a very finished ending by its last season

bakasta • 9 months ago

Capeta is legit af. i remember the good ol days when Capeta learn how to drive a Go KArt!

unkown_user • 9 months ago

Oh yooo you watch donghua'sπŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

vio • 9 months ago

yea, I actually prefer Chinese donghua's to Japanese anime.

vio • 9 months ago

Not sure how factually correct it is but from watching another racing anime called capeta, F4 racing uses different cars compared to F1.

arra1213 • 9 months ago

i just look at capeta it was mid 2000 anime ill put it on my watchlist
F on the other hand is late 80s anime i watched it on tv before during the 90s
too bad its not available here on gogo

Cauthelia • 9 months ago

Yeah
But the rules and regulation within sporting is pretty same

Acers • 9 months ago

well.... to be strict.... all the F series car have a halo now.

jeti • 9 months ago

F4 actually

heniadir • 9 months ago

Not F1 but a formula championship car, looks like a F1 but it's not a F1.

Hallreaver • 9 months ago

They aren't using F1s but rather F4 cars, some similarities but not nearly as fast as F1 cars.

Sp1cy_Rubber • 9 months ago

Nope they don't look like F1 Cars to me.

They look like either a F4 Car or a Japanese Super Formula Car.

Sp1cy_Rubber • 9 months ago

How I wish that they will someday animate Kanojo no Carrera, Over Rev!, GT-giRl and a season 2 of Wangan Midnight because honestly they're banger too as a Car Weeb guy

arra1213 • 9 months ago

i only watched 2 racing anime so far and yeah it would be good if the title you mentioned also got an anime adaptation
the more the better xd

Sp1cy_Rubber • 9 months ago

Tho tbh since you like 90s animes, I bet you would look forward to Over Rev! the most since it's actually a 90s manga (I think among the 90s "Big 3" (Initial D, Wangan Midnight and Over Rev!) of racing manga, Over Rev! is by far the ONLY remaining big racing manga that still haven't got an anime adaptation to date which sucks because racing isn't really that big even back in its peak popularity)

arra1213 • 9 months ago

will there be an upcoming anime adaptation? if yes then ill definitely looking forward to it

YouSoro~! • 9 months ago

if you into 90s anime racing anime focus on what if F1 doesnt have all those ban restriction BS i recomended watching FGPX CyberFormula, all season are in Ani One YT channel

jeti • 9 months ago

Over Rev yes! especially, "that scene" from the manga πŸ˜‰πŸ˜

MeguminExplosion • 9 months ago

Sponsered by Audi

heniadir • 9 months ago

It's a perfect replica of FujiSpeedway, you can go and see.

Nikola Nikolov • 8 months ago

indeed Ghost is a nice throw back to Initial D but honestly this one grabs my attention a lot more

unkown_user • 9 months ago

Ahh fr its been a great while since any dropped ngl

arra1213 • 9 months ago

hope we got more in the future dude

Esenpai • 9 months ago

Hoping this has a feeling like a spiritual successor to Capeta. That was an awesome racing anime.

broodo aka Dorian Brooks • 9 months ago

I have to say that this was a really good 1st episode. I was expecting maybe to be drawn in by an adrenaline rush of action or comedy. But no, it went for the emotional aspect. I can't recall the last time a series grabbed me by the emotions in one episode. Maybe RideBack (2009) or Beck (2004). I wonder how serious this will continue to be. Seinen or Shounen?

Singularity93 • 9 months ago

Ah I'm so glad there's a racing anime!! As someone who recently started following F1, this is like the best of both worlds!!
Can you share the name of the other racing anime that you mentioned? I only remember seeing the trailer for Overtake so I'm curious what the other one is

reiko • 9 months ago

this is going to be my first racing anime..haven't watched initial d so I'm giving mf ghost a miss plus animation in this looks better ^^;

arra1213 • 9 months ago

mf ghost is cool dude
it has 90s vibe that concentrate on characters similar to slamdunk where its not just basketball

reiko • 9 months ago

I'll try watching it after season ends

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 9 months ago

This will be technically my 3rd since I started MF Ghost and off and on watching Speed Racer (Go go Mach 5)...

arra1213 • 9 months ago

thats a classic dude even though i havent seen it yet the name rings a bell to all old anime fans xd

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 9 months ago

Yep xD

Pongphit Suwansunthorn • 9 months ago

Try go see Capeta it is very good to under stand the environment of the racer. The MC is in the poor family but start to drive Go cart since he was 6 yr. you will see his growth until he become the adult and become professional racer.
it start from the smallest to the bigest race very recomend.
The original is from manga same name Capeta by Soda Masahito.
but the anime adapt will change something but it is in good way that we can follow the story to the end in 26 episode.

reiko • 9 months ago

I've seen capeta in comments here.. I'll add it on my planning then..thanks😊

Aki • 9 months ago

make sure to watch initial D when you can it's a bomb anime

Sp1cy_Rubber • 9 months ago

Initial D is a prequel to MF Ghost. There are Initial D characters that will definitely appear in that anime sometime in the future.

reiko • 9 months ago

That's what I was thinking too!!

L0S3R • 9 months ago

I pretty sure you don't need to watch initial d in order to catch up on mf ghost though. They seems take place in the same universe but most of the cast from initial d aren't exactly present and the plot itself is also different

Ohms Nuttachai • 9 months ago

This has too many edgy characters to my liking but Kouya's past really intrigued me and the animation is nice. I think I'll continue this for a while to see how it goes.

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 9 months ago

Lol isn't it like only two? Unless one is already too many for you.
