Is just a more snobbish, angsty, "artsy", more evolved, and still infurating variant of the "it was all a dream" plot twist barely anybody learnt to properly use.

Are writers so coward to just say "yes. fantasy elements in this fictional imaginary story are real here". Or they have so little confidence that people would believe them, they keep the card "it was on purpose it was never real" on reserve?

TV head guy is so op already casually reviving a head then inserts magical girl powers to it. Add slayer to it whom they can't even touch makes you wonder how will they come close to beat them with plot armor alone.
