and that's the end, I don't know if we get season 2, it was fine anime 6/10, the ghost in the closed was the real MVP of the show

Awww, well at least it had a tidy ending with no cliff or dangling plot. Except maybe the closet ghost.

It was all good but I still did not see the back story of that ghost. Still a mystery to me and the Demon Lord could have resurrected that ghost if the ghost will join her demon army.

From hero to zero the anime…

I did: it was literally the series that made me start watching subbed anime almost 2 decades ago.

However, that series ended ages ago while "Dark Gathering" is being aired this season (and will keep airing in the next one too), so...

Max getting closer to Maou when he rested his head on Max's shoulder was a surprise, Maou blushing and whatnot and this point is no surprise but Max responding positively like that is a definite surprise lol.

They were looking like a married couple, and I like how Maou was touching up his filled up belly. Max feeling self-conscious about it was amusing too. Maou has cooked himself into Max's stomach lol.

The Ghost being pissed off with their lovey-dovey moments was amusing.

Nice to finally see how Yuria looks in the present although this time her husband was hidden instead lol. Mother-daughter magic badminton.

Nice that Max's groveling resolved the issue although I'm sure he's unhappy about how viral it is, I'm guessing he'll eventually be asked to help out with future incidents since they've seen what he's capable of at the moment.

I'd watch another season of this, I won't expect another but it was an entertaining series to start Mondays off with.

And Zenia's misfortune of losing data, became the turning tide to bring Grimms arrested.

I'd also watch another season of this since this was one of the best anime on Monday this season.

A second season is absolutely necessary to tie up some loose ends. The story is already good on its own but I think there's a lot that can be done with the characters and their individual stories.
The demon Lord and hero romance, absolutely necessary.
The ghost girl back story, needed.
Also there was a lot of focus on the human world and little on the demon world. It would be kinda facinating to see a demon who doesn't like the demon Lord's role and revolts against him/her.

All in all, it's a satisfactory conclusion, hero was well grounded, not op, and was charming. All the characters were lovable.

True...the more correct phrase should have been unexplored aspects, not loose ends.
The characters and concept were just so interesting that I felt more could be done from it. It's still a great watch this.

A nice ending to a nice story.
Lvl 1 Maou was pretty entertaining with enjoyable humor and an interesting take on the whole “Hero-Maou” theme. Max becoming a neet living in a crappy apartment after defeating a demon lord was pretty hilarious. And I really laughed at how a former male demon lord became a loli. And the idea that he would come and live in the hero’s apartment was really fun.

Overall, I enjoyed Max’s and Maou’s shenanigans and I had a fun time watching the anime. I initially started watching it just for the lolz and I didn’t like the whole plot around the “Gamma kingdom vs (the country Max was living in)”. But after I got used to it, I actually really liked it. I don’t think the anime would’ve been that good if it only relied on the “Max and Maou” gags. I think some form of seriousness was good.

In the end, I liked this anime. The story was enjoyable, the characters were good. Zenia was hilarious as hell. My only complaint is that we got no backstory about the ghost girl. I'd like to know more about her, because she had me dying quite a few times.
So yeah, I can rate Lvl 1 Maou – 7/10.

That's ironically the only reason i'd ever watch an eventual sequel of this series (though i'd also rate it 7/10, weirdly enough)

Personal thoughts:
This dynamic trope with the hero Max and the demon lord Maou in living one roof with this from enemies to this weird couple duo was great and fresh and all their shenanigans from male demon with supreme dark power to now genderbent loli, and from hero to neet/bum loser of his former glory.

What starts from flashbacks to current day with both with a 10 year reunion was ever so hilarious. There gags was non stop funny and every hilarious moment with Zenia was gold ^^

The story was nice and fresh for me even though some of it is generic and some what cringe but a good cringe for me.

All the former party members was great and sadly this can be forgettable after when one is done with the series.

The comedy was peak and well place but the only disappointment was ofc like everyone is mentioning is what about the story about the ghost girl in the closet who just curses at Max Maou relationship, also the beef with Fred with her.

Anyways this was my most hyped anime and enjoyed it all the way through 8/10.

Sadako knock-off went all: Screw 7 days, you die now.

Damn this was a nice watch, gonna miss these guys.
