Yah. He should be his uncle but whatever they say lol
yeah I got really confused when they said that, though I guess ojisan tends to be used as OLD MAN in most cases which I guess they chose to call him that instead.
Don't confuse ojisan (uncle or any "somehow" old man) with ojiisan (grand father or any really old man).
Considering Japan's culture/language this actually makes A LOT more sense then some may think.
Yeah well the same for me im supposed to be an uncle but im a big brother instead
Probably he's still a teenager in demon years. In some animes demons aged slowly physically and mentally just like elves.
the first china anime studio adaption that was worth watching imo. Im waiting for people to react to the ending. People probably werent expecting the antagonist to not get punished.
wow lmao they speed run through the explanation of the dragon going supernova. Basically, he fused into the dragon and they became one in body. He planned to fly far away into the atmosphere to avoid harming the village. His father was about to kill him and dariel basically used his ability to separate the dragon from him so that they would only kill the dragon.
Im super disappointed that the blonde demon lord general never got to reunite with Dariel.
Wdym "china anime studio?" The studio was based in Tokyo, the novel was japanese, and all of the personnel were japanese...
bilibili is a chinese studio
bilibili is just the producer/distributor, the studio is encourage flims
To be fair Bashverza didn't do all that great as a villain... he failed at pretty much everything other than kicking Dariel out... so it's not that bad he didn't get punished.
His villainy has not yet subsided. He's constantly threatening to turn the manga into some kind of yaoi novel
yeah... the yaoi shipped sailed the moment Rizet showed up... Bashverza is going to have to wait in line...
Lol... I suggest you check a little more chinese anime adaptation before making such a bold claim. There are many other very good chinese anime adaptations. You just didn't know them.
My very first choice would be : Fanren Xiu Xian Chuan / A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality, but there are others, like e.g. : Wu Liuqi / Scissor Seven or Yuan long and others, but those might be more of my personal tastes.
Scissor 7 is prob the fav out of those but theres also xiao hei with same vibe
I couldn't compare Fanren and Scissor 7. Both were acclaimed but they are very different currents that both have their own fanbase.
There are also others I might have added, like :
- Yi Nian Yong Heng,
- Xian Wang de Richang Shenghuo,
- Kao Ni La Zhanshen Xitong,
- Yowai 5000-nen no Soushoku Dragon, Iwarenaki,
- Jian Wang, wang sheng jie or
- Fei rei zai.
However, I wouldn't be too bold about those, because they are mostly my personal tastes.
Let me add my fav Du Ming Roa (Ohh Demon Lord spare me ) and The King's Avatar.
I do not find "du ming roa".
Would you be meaning "Da Wang Rao Ming" (Spare Me, Great Lord!) ?
yeah that one.
Ok, Checking it. Thanks...
Yeah, ok, it was fun. I'd say : same level (good or very good) as King's avatar, but IMHO, the epicness of Fanren makes it's own category by itself (great).
King's Avatar is exceptionally good and even Live action of it is good asf.
It seems you know a lot of good chinese anime's, can you give me some names of good one's if you don't mind!.
I did it above in the discussion (Copy/paste) :

Ikr, where is tha blonde demon xD
while it seems like his punishment was light, he definitely received one. Banishment can be worse than death for some.
I knew I would find a familiar face eventually.
Banishment would not have been so bad imo, if he hadn't sprouted the horns through the hex. Dude's gunna need a super convincing hat or hoodie in human towns.
meant to reply awhile ago. But it's sad the site we used no longer exists. I wonder what happened to it...
yo, how are you man? Unfortunatley Ace, the site Owner has fallen off the map. Linkz users who have known him for years havent heard a thing from him and cant do anything on the site without him.
There is a bunch of us shit posting in Linkz Discord as we wait for good news. The domain will be up for grabs to buy in August, but it would have to be someone in a country that doesnt care about DMCA like Ace who is PH. See what happens when that time comes around I guess. Hopfully Ace shows up first tho.
people think that death is the only kind of punishment in anime
I don't know if they did or not but the anime still isn't up to date with the LN
I don't think the father intended to kill him at that moment
wait what? I thought the father is the one who seperated them. my source is the manga are you reading from the novel? Cause I remember it was his father that saved him.
it should have been uncle indeed but Dariel probably wanted for Bashverza to feel the same way he felt when Dariel was introduced and so it became big brother instead
Bashverza X Hero Lady Ship will soon sail I guess.
I also ship them.😁
it was really good imo
2 things we never explored:
1. why was Malika so strong?
2. How terrifying the demon king is... like an immortal OP guy?
I was pretty satisfied with that ending. I'd hate to see them make more seasons and kill anything the show already developed. Maybe if it switches to like a slice of life but alternate reality and follows Bash with a few hints on life back the village. That might be alright imo.
I agree about having a Low expectations from this show. I felt the same. After all Bilbilli really isn't known for their Good Quality Animes.
Bilibili is 1 of the producers. Basically the guys funding it. Encourage Films, a jp studio is the 1 that made it.
Was so glad they adapted this. Been reading the manga for a while and thought the anime did it justice. Its an enjoyable fantasy story of family.
Wish they would explain his wife though.
This should really get a second season
A day to remember most of winter animes is finished
Tomorrow Handyman Saitou in another world, Campfire cooking in another world with my absurd skill and 2 more so the anime that ends tomorrow are 5.
Correct me if I'm missing any please.
Yeah tomorrow Handyman Isekai, 4DDJ All Mix, In/Specter S2 ends, and Boruto goes on Hiatus with the end of part 1
Thanks Archie.
And the Tale Of Outcasts final episode.
Ik but that one is not ending yet though.
I didn't get to hear Dariel call Granverza "Father" but it was nice to hear Bashverza call Dariel "Older brother". His cockiness and arrogance flew right out the window in the second half lol. I expected him to be a bit more humble but not to that extent.
I'm glad we did get to learn more about Bashverza's past with Dariel, it made me understand his side a bit more, especially the part where he felt jealous that Dariel got to spend more time with his father when he was waiting for him. I'm glad the one to pull him out from having his life taken was Granverza.
That moment with Gran and Bashverza, shouldn't he be an uncle and not big brother? Either way it was nice to see Dariel's complete family, well other than Granverza's wife wherever she may be but I have a feeling she didn't treat Dariel as a son.
This series surprised me, I thought this was going to be a meh anime, one I wouldn't really be too invested in but it's definitely one of the better anime in this season for me. I do hope we'll get an second season for this, I'd like to see where the story goes from here.
