Ah I see so Toma is just a yandere lol
Setsu cheated on his boyfriend. No wonder.
Toma wasnt his type lol
They (idk Toma's gender and I'd rather not assume lol) didn't confess, so I say it's fair game for MC to have a harem xD!
(idk Toma's gender and I'd rather not assume lol)
Cmon now that's clearly a dude
Assume? Toma is clearly a guy bruh, don't fall in to the pronoun gender identity BS
fr fk setsu
Notice me senpai... OR DIE!!!
This was 100% Setsu's Fault. Why didn't he just take Toma with him? That was really stupid.
dude was a buzzkill, who'd want to babysit his ass when you are a badass in a fantasy world full of collectable haremites.
In any RPG game, if you had a 2nd hero at the start would you just leave them, or take them alone to power level them? I think we all know the right answer
I disagree that this is Setsu's fault. Yes he supported and helped him initially, but as JDC said Setsu can't just sit and babysit touma forever. In a video game you don't have to worry about mentality. a characters weak mentality is like a crippling debuff where he gets fear for every encounter that slows and weakens him. If we're talking in gaming terms' i'd be using him as a meatshield for setsu
Back to this fantasy world, Setsu taking Touma with him would only slow him down. Touma would constantly need defending and coddling. I don't believe touma is that type of character. he encourages his allies and if they can't keep up then they're better off staying behind.
You mean like the Bard, Edward, in FF4? Everyone still loves him. They even made a mod so you could play him more. Also you don't know he would slow him down. Setsu literally took two people who were still in training with him as he left. But you are right about his personality of cutting off people. That's exactly what he did. He acted friendly and then ditched him, just like he did with his school friends. Dude is an edgelord loser who got lucky.
I'd say he's modeled like a real life guy that's at the top of the social hierarchy. They dont get there by being lucky, they get there by being assertive and getting shit done, making hard decisions and taking calculated risks. Its how real world business is.
So, you know how real world business individuals are because you're at least successful in your own business right??
not familiar with those two character, quick google, they have a specific abilities that makes them beneficial depending on how you play. But in the fantasy world you can't die even once and going back to gaming terms Touma would be scared out of his mind seeing monster and enemies compare to setsu. As for those two character he brought along, they actually have a reason to fight. Again it comes down to mentality and personality. Touma is a coward while Setsu is outgoing and a risk-taker.
(this is my assumption of Touma's character based on the one scene when he arrived at the castle). If touma followed along, he would see Setsu fight and would further rely on him to do al the fighting. Setsu is so strong and can take care of everything why would touma bother getting hurt just to get stronger. Touma looks to be a close combat fighter same with Setsu. I still ask what obligation does setsu have to Touma besides saying he'll look after him. As for ditching him, Setsu's goal was to make sure Touma didn't die. Touma had a higher chance of survival staying behind because the kingdom would protect the hero and make sure the hero is fighting for the country to the end of the war. sure there the chance where the kingdom would bet everything in one fight and touma could die but then they would lose the one trump card they have to play.
Regarding your point about disregarding him when Touma ask Setsu to go home. it's similar to you see your "friend", more like classmate/co-worker, a few months later, hey lets go back to the office. Setsu didn't think Touma would do anything drastic and would have talked longer if he wasn't in a rush to get to a party, "his" party. Touma over reacted when he wished him good luck back home. to project further, was setsu suppose to keep baby sitting him when he gets home? Touma said he has a way home so why didn't he just leave? why must Setsu leave with him? Touma's obsession with Setsu was the problem. it's almost like Touma blames Setsu for bringing him to this world.
What two characters? Edward is 1 character
Kill them at the start. Take it from FFF Class Hero.
Thing is, he wasnt even ready for the adventure, he was still training and being out before he's ready will kill him. Having setsu take care of all the problems for him will just make him even weaker. There's literally no win here. Not to mention the opportunity cost of literally the whole game ending on a timer before you even set out and start your adventure.
They don't say how powerful either are. They just arrived and they both have isekai powers it seems. So I don't think your argument is valid
they literally said he's ready to explore the world while toma had to train more. Did that seriously fly over your head?
Quit trying to pin Toma's actions on Setsu.
You mean the easily impressionable person who was straight up abandoned by the only person he could trust? And then he never checked on the entire time because he had EZ mode on? Setsu didn't give a shit about Toma until he turned evil.
So much for all his promises. He recognized the dude was needy and still took on the responsibility to look out for him and then was completely dismissive when he suggested they go home together. Couldn't spare time to ask how he was doing. Zero interest. That's all the steps covered on "how to create a villain".
Umm no bruh bruh, setsu didnt do anything wrong, touma became obsessed with his desires and wishes, setsu literally went out and ruled the word meanwhile touma was always weak minded, he got a little bit of power and then that power made him feel like he was superior that's why he asked the soldiers if they would die for him, what kind of person would ask others such a thing? A sadistic person thats who, he was weak and weak people will always be the worst in a society of strong people they'll always feel like they're being left behind and it'll eventually make them want to take revenge on others just because they didn't see things their way when they never even expressed their wishes to others yet still blamed them for things not working out the way they wanted
And that's touma he's essentially a needy mentally weak sadistic child that believes that just cus he thinks things should be one way then thats how they will be and gets mad a throws a fit when they don't which is what he's doing
This type of character is annoying there's no real substance to them only a meek background story of how they fell into despair because they were to weak to keep up with the stronger characters
The not doing anything is where he failed. Don't go acting like a daddy patting heads 'daijoubu' if you are not going to pull the weight. Not saying Touma did not have his issues but Seita enabled him to feel that in a broken world, Touma could rely on him and he, Seita would protect him. He became Touma's safety net and then decided to pull away unilaterally. Dude says he's going home, the utter lack of concern from Seita(didn't even bother to inquire 'how') just goodbye and you know Touma is justified for thinking "you protect everyone but me"
I disagree. Yes he took on the promise of protecting him. he succeed in that promise. In setsu's eyes, stopping the war prevents toma from going out to battles endangering him. Toma could do whatever he wanted now that the war was over. If he wanted to he could get away from the kingdom and live a normal life. toma's wish was to go home and setsu wished him well as he was leaving. why is toma's action setsu's fault?
Because Seita put himself in a position where Touma started to look up to him as a big brother, his only family in a strange world. He did not have to but he did. Now imagine treating your younger sibling the way Seita did Touma. Seita had a carefree attitude that didn't take into account the consequences of his actions. There was no real concern for Touma in the end given how easy he dismissed him when Dude said he found a way home. Touma has issues but he is justified for feeling abandoned.
feeling are justified but actions aren't. you can feel a certain way but you can't act on them carelessly. As for being dismissive, i disagree. He found a way home, why didn't he just go home then? why did he need Setsu to come with him? If Touma said he needed help to get home Setsu would have helped him.
No need to continue since you don't understand emotional attachments. How desperate and confused people get attached to the person who gives them an assurance on their safety. You would make a terrible friend too at that "he found a way, why didn't he just go home then". Like I said careless people like Setsu create unnecessary villains.
But why should he care? they're not related. they just happened to be at the same place at the same time. it's like a nature disaster strikes you're in a building with someone you don't know. you lend a hand during the initial incident but you don't babysit the other person because you guys happened to be together.
because you have other people to interact with. If you survived a disaster, and they were the only other person who spoke english in your new country, you would hang out with them
except he can speak the language in the location he's in.
wow you don't understand concepts do you
once a spineless bitchass always a spineless bitchass that's what I always say, either he stays with setsu and remains useless or learns on his own, but clearly he couldn't do that without developing several mental conditions
That's so lame. BL yandere is gross. Dude needs to get a harem himself. Plus, wrong type of yandere for him to be 'quirky'. And he's not a trap. Not even cute...
I didn't know you're a BL.
There are like. 3 traps I would ever even remotely look at..Hideyoshi, Felix Argyle and Astolfo. I ship Astolfo with Rin, Felix and Subaru. Hideyoshi with Akihisa.. Deal with it. XD
I ain't getting with any trap that isn't super-passing IRL.
Cultured choices but Hideyoshi is not a trap.Hideyoshi is... Hideyoshi :D
I mean, there's room for debate there. But fair opinion.
Hideyoshi gender hahaha
tldr vii ur gay
I mean. No? And if I was bisexual, would it matter? Your peen is still nonexistent.
Toma moment of picking up the necklace reminded me of Arthas Menethil
