The animation on this movie was on point though, see that Fireworks scene it was like real shit and story was good though but it doesn’t have the powerful impact like Your name has.

Yes personally I thought this movie was better than Kimi no nawa too, just because I liked how the two characters were actually able to connect more and actually see each other in person to have a proper bond. This was such a beautiful movie, the animation, soundtrack, everything was just perfect. I'm so glad I got to see it in theatres and I can't wait for it to be released online so I can watch it again

The same here, but definitely both follow the same foundation. Something that make them be apart, a catastrophe that is not big deal here may happen anyway but not so quick ahaha, and in the end stay together, and Tokyo ahah, oh and both movies make a moment where they have to find themselves, like in kiimi no nawa was the mountain scene, here the top of the building falling in the sky, and ofc all the foundation for them fall in love by each other.
