My, how LEGOs have come a far way from the early days. Now LEGOs look ultra-realistic as they remove more of the bumps and connectors and make the exterior surfaces smoother and curvier. Before, LEGO builds were blocky and very squarish.

Some hobbyists actually delve into LEGO investments, buying and trading aged and unopened LEGOs online and they make quite a nice return on profit until more and more people caught onto this idea. As with any investment, it's a gamble on profit and not everyone makes money, but rumor has it trading and selling old unopened LEGOs is more profitable than selling unread comicbooks or vintage baseball cards.

I do not see very well the relationship between my design that could be marketed by Lego Group if it will get 10,000 votes at Lego Ideas and the sale of old Lego sets for speculation ???

The Star Wars Millennium Falcon LEGO set, especially the first ones, was so sought after that the set commanded prices close to $1,000 a box.

If you were to design some exclusive Blue Origin or New Glenn LEGO sets, or exclusive SpaceX sets with perhaps Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk's photo or signature, or a limited company sticker or a plaque, then the collectible value would definitely increase as time goes on.

Doing so would probably get you the 10,000 votes if you include something unique and exclusive in these limited run LEGO sets, and then just mass produce the other sets as regular Standard Editions.
