"Disclaimer this is anime game" What is with the cringe attitude you guys have towards this type of media. We do not need to be warned that this is a Japanese game. Just tell us how the gameplay is, and a bit about the story without your snide comments about wink wink surprise its anime! Anime/manga are destroying their american counterparts if anything we should be notified its a western influenced video game, balance it out why don't ya.

They like anime. They are reacting to how anime is treated by the majority, so as to relate to those disgusting fools who would look at a video game and immediately say - "ew, anime game. I won't touch." That is not these guys, obviously. You are overly sensitive to the issue, because of hypocrites who say, "don't judge a book by its cover - ew, anime!".

Just be glad that you aren't an idiot to the extent that you hate anime automatically. I'm also glad that that I can give things a chance. I even give people a chance - even anime hating people... This looks like Astral Chain 2 in many ways. Astral Chain was for me, a good example of over-cooked art direction. Too busy, tires my eye to know what's significant and what is not. To its credit, the Astral Chain ending boss battle is kind of a masterpiece of art direction and various styles interwoven, more coherent than earlier game. It looks like Scarlett Nexus has learned from Astral Chain. The busyness is toned down and the effect is far more engaging, less off-putting.

Can anyone confirm if this is an anime game or not? Im not quite sure after watching that video.

Technically, it is not. There is no anime with this story or title. It is an anime styled game, but not an actual anime game.
