There are not enough games where you play as an animal
Definitely true. Almost every game just features some random, stupid human being running around, like no one on earth has any creative thoughts. "Just make person game - give gun. Done."
Probably the most unique animal game since Deadly Creatures on Wii.
All right, Now we're talkin. This definitely could be a fun game to get into. I'm kinda just getting over games that have to do with the end of the world, post or pre. I swear the more I look at my games the more I realize that 80% of them have to do with the end of the world. As Of right now I'm torn between starting Spider-Man or Batman Arkham Knight... Any suggestions between the two would be much appreciated. I'm just finishing up Bioshock Infinite... which is such a good game by the way. I really do wish they were making more Bioshock games, or Dead Space.
I would play the Burial At Sea DLC for Bioshock Infinite before moving on if you haven't. I think that it nicely ties the the 1st and 3rd games together.
There is a new BioShock game in development right now, but not by Irrational. It's being made by Cloud Chamber.
I prefer Spiderman but they are both good games have fun
Spider-Man is more fun for full swinging around NYC and such.
But are amazing. But Spider-Man.
Play Spider-man for sure. Both great games, but Spider-man is a little more light hearted lol. Plus swinging around town is relaxing lol
Spider-Man is some of the most fun I’ve had playing a game, maybe ever. Arkham Knight was enjoyable as well, but I give the nod to Spidey.
I loved Arkham Knight, just completed to story recently. It is incredibly dark though, so maybe you should go with Spider-Man given your comment.
Jawsome!! Can’t wait for my delayed amazon copy to arrive.
Well done!
Seeing as the shark you play as is female then it should be Queen of the Sea, surely?
Jaws 5: Woke, hungry, and looking for revenge.
#TidesUp
Even sharks are getting it on in the #MeToo and diversity movement.
Probably going to pop out some baby monsters at the end for the sequel
no maneater fits perfectly as play on words
Oh, I think the name of the game is even funnier for the shark being female, I meant for the headline for this review.
aaaa did not even notice that 😄
No worries! I mostly picked it up when its used in the review text.
I am pumped to play this someday and the critical consensus seems to be 7.5/8 which for such a unique game is really good. Sounds super fun which is all one can ask.
My current play list and backlog is pretty full at the moment but given the world situation, this will find it's way to me at some point. Hopefully it lands on Game Pass by the end of the summer.
Wow, “Shark! Shark!” got weird.
Maneater is free for PS plus people right now, finally had the chance to play this - I was waiting for a good sale, and nothing is better than free. Anyway, now that I have played it I would be happy to pay $20-30 bucks for it. Very fun game to play. The Shark animations, and the world they created to play in are both fantastic. Story line is very passable, the narrator that speaks throughout is good, and at times pretty funny. The story line is done, documentary style, on the Sharks side of things they make it sound like "they" are following you around narrating the things you are doing, to the TV audience. Gameplay is pretty tight, fun, and the RPG stuff they put in feels good.
Just 100%ed the game. Took me a leisurely 15 hours. The game is a fun diversion but in hindsight it would be more fairly priced at $20 for what it is. If you are thinking about getting it and haven't yet, and you can wait for a sale, I'd say pick it up when it's cheaper.
Glad to see it turned out decent, it has a lot of character.
$40 is to steep for an 8-15 hour game but might pick this up when it hits a flash sale
In the review you say it takes 6-8 hours to go from a baby to an adult. Is that also the campaign length? I'm guessing no but I'm unsure.
Wasn't expecting an 8 . Happily surprised 👍
this game literally jumps the shark!
I need a demo before i'll bite (lol) at full price, otherwise waiting for a sale...
Ha well this review sold me, I'll pick this up eventually.
Sounds very thin. Nothing new.
Nice to hear it's surprisingly good!
lol unique? That thing is a mutated monstrosity.
She's pretty!
Not what you would say if you ran into that thing in a dark alley XD. Good review Reiner.
Of course Reiner reviewed this
HAD TO! IT'S IN MY DNA.
Again vibes of the old "Jaws" game on Xbox/PS2 but it looks just goofy fun to enjoy.
That looks fun as hell. At the very least looks funny.
Ok I played that Jaws game on the PS2 after a Replay, so I’ll give this a try.
I can see myself trying this game at some point. I mean, I played JAWS. LOL
i may pick this up but hope one day they make a next gen killing floor 3
well it's nice to see something clever,
and different...
