This is greenwashing luxury boating.
That said better electric than gas/diesel but it is still opulence on steroids.

There it is, folks. Another example of us supposedly celebrating the rich. We get to watch them enjoy their greenwashing and club life, and we can dream about one day being “part of the club”. Likely the joe cleaning the lounger cushions. The level of crass capitalism here is astounding.

Disclaimer. I am far, far away from the social-economic demographic group intended for this project.

That out of the way, whose fault is it for anyone who is not "part of the club" anyway? I think we get so hung up on bashing on those who made the right choices in life in order to enjoy these lifestyles that we forgot we could have been there too had we made a firm decision and remained focused on achieving our goals. The fact that someone else is wealthy does not have to mean you have to be poor. Lame, lame, lame excuse!

As to the technology being presented here, at least lets be glad that in all levels of society, we're moving towards a more sustainable energy future, and that is what really matters.

Year - real critical thinking there. I wasn’t suggesting any measure of want for this - nice how you moved the goalposts and made it about desire and not need.

This only that this is a “solution” for an elitist group. It’s also clearly paid programming. Good luck with your dreams of joining the clique.

I'm sorry but I am not the one with insecurities here. No I may not be "rich" in the traditional sense that society teaches us but I do live a prosperous life. I no longer have to work for a living. Still, I live in a beautiful home and have a full pantry and refrigerator. I don't have a bunch of friends but the ones I do have are GOLDEN. I have my body and am grateful I can get around on my own. In short, I am very satisfied with the level of lifestyle I have obtained and have no desire to join any "clique".

When you use terms like "elitist group" you just reinforce what I was trying to communicate with you. There are tons of green energy solutions for all social economic groups but you only focus or obsess on this one for some strange reason. You are your own irony.

scientific analysis by many people in multiple countries over many centuries with centuries of experience, pedigree, knowledge and temperament, show that yes, the wealth of the wealthy springs from the poverty of the poor. i mean, Kropotkin was literally feudal nobility. yes, we get that you don't "need" the resources clearly provided by your ancestors, however reality is more than one person's personal experience, and poverty is defined by more than having a fridge and a cell phone, as shown by my reality. even with the electrification and transformation of the rich, they will still be more inefficient in their resource usage than the average person, which both you and I belong to. not introducing class analysis into environmentalism, and trying to foster class collaboration is being an apologist at this point in time. IF your committed to critical thinking of course.

Something akin to a solar-powered yacht club! But I wonder, what makes this sustainable? Ok, you could say this is on the continuum of sustainability. However, sustainability is a combination or interaction of three forces - people, planet, profit. Sometimes, a forth "P" is added for "purpose" as in purpose-driven organization. I can see planet (i.e., environment) and profit (i.e., economy) but don't see the people (societal or social) benefits. It's like that famous British celebrity who had his EV flown to him from halfway across the world. Actually, Barry's
comment is even more straightforward.

This looks like a greener version of "The Floating Seahorse", part of "The Heart of Europe" in Dubai. See https://www.businessinsider.com/dubai-floating-seahorse-underwater-homes-2017-8 It's a house of about 4000ft2 with 1 floor above the water and also with a "patio" area above the water, and 1 floor below the water with an amazing glass window. About 5 years ago they were about $3M or so; I wouldn't be surprised if they were up to $4M by now. Oh, they could do limited travel too. I was really impressed with them when I first saw them and would have considered it if I had the money (LoL), but you'd have to live in Dubai too, something I wouldn't be too keen on.

The renders alone will be used to fight against excessive "dreamer" science budgets.

I'm so far outside the demographic I'm not even certain the target is bipedal. :)
