Hey Sam Naga, DynamoDB will handle all updates to your secondary index as needed. If an item changes in your base table, DynamoDB will replicate those changes to your indexes. Does that make sense?
what happens to an item in the secondary index if the base table has enabled TTL for that item? Will that item in the secondary index be automatically deleted? If no, what does one need to do? Thanks.
John Lim Yep! Deletion from the base table will delete the item from the secondary index as well. There can be some lag, but I usually see it happen within a second under normal load.
Thanks Alex!!
Isn't it 20 GSIs and 5 LSIs?
You're right, halfpipe07 ! Thanks for the correction. Updating :)
What happens when secondary Index attribute value is updated with new value. Like Status 'OPEN, "INPROCESS', 'CLOSED'.
