The fact that he failed and gave up the exam is refreshing. I thought they would make him succeed in passing his exam like you would expect it in any k-drama.
It’s not easy to give up something you spent so much time in. I’m currently in that situation and I wonder whether I should give up or not. I wonder at what point you feel that the dreams you are pursuing are not for you. I’m the obstinate type so it would be so hard to give up my dreams, I’m not wise enough to give it up even if it’s obviously not for me.

MoonJinJi • 2 years ago

Nana Rather than gave up, I think he shifted his momentum to something else that will work. He redirected his energy towards something new, and I hope you find the courage to redirect your time and resources to something that will out a smile on your face, food on the table, and contentment in your heart <3

Thank you so much!! I hope you have a peaceful and happy life too :D

hi i wonder if you'll see this, but do you have an update on your situation? im curious haha

VillainSYN • 2 years ago

i'm not so sure with the answer of your life problems. however, when you make your decision, u will have to live with the consequences, so don't give up if it's something you love to do, and don't quit because people tell u to quit, but do it because you already make peace with your mind. Hope the best for you !!

Nana • 2 years ago

Thank you so much! :) You're right. I have to think of the consequences. I will do so I won't have any regret.

Al • 2 years ago

Loved the whole purpose of this drama because it speaks to people who have this problem and sickness and need to get help and it’s nothing to be ashamed off . People who are spoken down when they can’t get hired or make enough money and how they live etc. I give this drama thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯😍😘😍🥰😍😍😍😍😍and to the writers and directors but the actors and actresses were so good at their acting that made me and so many viewers understand that it’s real problem and don’t judge cause you don’t know what that person is going through and how our words and judgment can hurt someone mentally emotionally physically and in their daily life’s . But as for my self I do judge and sometimes when I’m really wrong I do criticize my self what’s wrong with you and than apologize. But we humans in the end but atleast I know when to stop it when I’m wrong .

XO_Vanessa_XO • 2 years ago

For real, this drama had an amazing theme of stop judging people when you don't know their circumstances! I myself have taken a step back and analyzed some of my past judgments on people. All that matters is that we acknowledge our wrong and fix our perspective :) . Great comment!

dutchessdioji • 2 years ago

Often times, we have no idea who we've inspired and encouraged with our story. I'm glad Yong Shik got to see his circumstance have a positive affect on someone else; I could see how much it meant to him. I wish we could have seen more from his FAN because it was such an awesome scene.👏

best scene in drama for his self esteem

Kairan • 2 years ago

a good lesson on this drama, just because you are not able to achive your dreams , or less successful in life , it does not mean its the end of the world for you.. you write your own happiness ~

the gay dude is right, if you cant have what the other has then why not just be happpy of what you currently have,,, life is to short to be sad on things which is not meant to be.

Tani • 2 years ago

not to be rude, but the "gay dude" character is a transgender woman.

simpleinthemoonlight • 2 years ago

I am now a YSY stan,, he portrayed Yong Sik so well and its a role I feel would have not worked with just any actor. Like my mans really had me feeling a lot of empathy for Yong Sik. I also liked how there was finally some appreciation of Jennifer as a good friend and also the realism of not passing the exam. A nice ending!

emmayoon23 • 2 years ago

This is such a refreshing series and it deserves more views. This is also great in terms of highlighting issues on physical and mental health. Indeed, life is better when somebody cares and if we seek help with the right people as well. Our identity also is not something to be ashamed of and that there is room for everyone of us and our unique circumstances.

Yoon never lets me down. I've seen most of his dramas and his depth and range is astounding.
At first I was sort of turned off by the subject matter but it was handled in a way that wasn't uncomfortable to watch. I liked the themes of finding your best self and your best life despite what others think. Loved the army buddy/fortune teller who was unapologetic about having the life she wanted. The entire cast did a great job. It is full of emotions, character growth, and laughter. I liked the short format. Perfect for a Sunday marathon. I highly recommend this drama.

whenever i see jennifer, it feels like home...what a beautiful soul...

XO_Vanessa_XO • 2 years ago

I am going to miss this drama! I have watched ALOT of k-drama's and I can say that this one is def in my top 10! The ending was sooo satisfying even with him still failing the exam. I loved how that man Cho Rong gave him a job after declaring him as his hero, ahhhh that was such a great moment. Stupid patriarchy has left people in a box...like what is wrong with a man liking pink or sewing dolls! Overall 10000/10 will recommend this drama. And the ending had me dying of laughter! Shoutout to all the actors in this drama and the writers. AMAZING!

gg. • 2 years ago

Indeed I admire the wonderful cast for taking on this little tale. I hope young people watched it specially young men who are constantly being compared to their peers and how damaging this is to their physical and mental health. Well done all concerned.

Tina Novak • 2 years ago

I am so glad he found his confidence and went after what made him happy. So many people get caught up in what society deems worthy, but everyone has a different path that makes them happy. Just because someone has good looks, a top job, tons of money and so on; it doesn't mean that they necessarily have it all. I know many rich people who are super unhappy and depressed at the end of the day behind closed doors, but they put on a happy face to fool people. Life is what you decide to make it!

This was such a refreshing spin on love for a drama. If you don't have self-love then you can't love others wholeheartedly. Loved this so much and I'm sad to see it end, but I'm glad he got his manhood back! LOL

I love this drama. It's a whole new genre, finally there's a drama about this kind of problem (impotencies). 👍👍

-Billy D- • 2 years ago

I agree plus he didnt do usual route of passing exam and getting married to first love
He has good job with his pink fan still drinks with his true friend the trans Physic and has amazing girlfriend who loves him so keeping score thats 30 points good enough

There is a not so old movie starring Yewon that is similar to this drama (Love clinic).

AnCe • 2 years ago

Yoon Shi Yoon...I always enjoyed his dramas! Acting wise...he never disappoints...wish to see him next in a historical drama...I missed seeing him wearing hanbok.

I liked that this drama tackled realistic situation and gave them a nice and sweet but with the more realistic end. Like that he failed the last interview and he finally moved on and joined a company who accepts him (thankfully its his fan's)...they showed he still struggle financially but still has a good friend who always has his back, side and even front...I loved Jennifer!
I also liked that Ru Da waited for him...she was waiting for him to come to her...and I did like that she now knows he has scars from that accident...that's why he doesn't like taking off his top at the pool.
Thank you!

I look forward to seeing YSY in future projects and wish him well. He did a great job in this one.👏

I was thinking some actors would be afraid of this role. He cried alot and had to act sheepish entire 8 episodes only in flash backs was he secure not to mention faulty plumbing being over all theme- I truly admire his work in this one

Hana • 2 years ago

i have been following him since early too, and i remember him the most from Beker King, Kim Tak Goo hihi. So young

It was utterly a great drama. I enjoyed and loved it. I cried, I laughed, dreamed anout it. 10/10.

pilo • 2 years ago

I can finally say that is one of my favorite kdrama ever. I cried and laughed in the first episodes, there was too much forced drama like the bet among the two doctors but it’s okay. The only thing that keep it “unreal” is how lucky he got a job from a fan and how much sexy the male lead is. And it’s funny because that’s the strongest part of the drama: he is perfect but when he’s not feeling good everything is a mess. Mental health saves no perfection, everyone can be affected. The ending was extremely good (i mean the failure of the exam and he moved on..) and i wished i could have seen more from his friend..

Asile • 2 years ago

I really love this drama. At first it’s kind of weird storyline but wow 😮 it turned out to be an inspiring drama. Oftentimes health problem is caused by psychological and emotional issues that we are constantly struggling in life but in God’s divine intervention, there will always be someone out there who will surely touch our hearts and raise us up and make us strong so we could stand despite adversities in life…. To someone out there who are still struggling in life hope you can watch this drama and be inspired! Fighting!!!!!!! Thanks dramacool 😉

We all want a friend like Kim Byul Jang - Jassmine.

anbu • 2 years ago

This was a really good drama. Hani is really pretty here and good acting too. I like that it's something different. The ending is cool too. I wish I had that courage to confess to a girl lol.

Surprisingly I've finished quite a few dramas lately. Coming from someone who don't watch it anymore. Sometimes I do watch some but I dropped it after a couple of episode or I never finished it. Netflix kdramas are killing it.

So far the ones I've finished are:
DP (is the guy here the fortune teller in this drama?) This is the one that started it. This drama. It was really good. Hope to see season 2. I always wondered if celebs gets bullied or harassed when they do their military service.

Definitely not Today: I like the vibe of this drama. It's a good watch. A good cdrama. Very unique with a bit of indie feel to it.

Squid Game: this one kinda surprised me. I was curious bec. of the hype and I already have an idea what it's gonna be. But when I first watch the first episode, I was surprised by the special guest. Really big stars here. I avoided Alice in Borderland bec. I know it would be more story and game focus. But with Squid Game I know that it has good acting. Just preference. I already know the main lead is a good actor. But the whole cast were pretty solid. Ending wasn't bad either.

Kingdom: Ashin of the North: This one is 1 episode only so I watch it. It was pretty good. I haven't watch the other ones bec. not in the mood for zombies. I watch this bec. the female lead is pretty good. If this was a series I would've skipped it. lol.

Promised Cinderella: this jdrama really caught me by surprised. I normally don't watch jdrama bec. of the cringy acting but this one is pretty good. The two leads are really great. Again I was surprised by this one. I dare say one of the best jdramas I've seen. Check it out if you have time.

Currently watching:
A Gentleman and a Young Lady - I'm a sucker for this type of drama. Not sure if I will finished it though.

The Veil - Just curious. So far it's alright. I might dropped this if it gets boring.

Yumi's Cell - kinda annoyed by the animation part lol. But the lead actress is very charming.

I don't know if I would dropped any of them. Those 3 kinda interest me.

qweeens • 2 years ago

wah is this the last ep??? okay im pretty satisfied since its kinda short per ep but yet they still manage to convey the lessons and the story itself :)

My love still soars for Dong gu, Yoon Shi Yoon!

Oaktree • 2 years ago

Aww, his smile is contagious. I can't help but smile when he does. He is beautiful. He's one of favorite actors. I enjoyed this drama.
I like the fact they kept it simple and realistic. When you stop comparing yourself to other you gain a new sense of freedom and things open up for you. He's still working on it but he's believing in himself and is happy with what he has.

hope to see him in more dramas and movies.

Dude cried in every single episode 😄😄

Al • 2 years ago

That was his character. He portrayed it so good that is hard to do. He tried and understood the character of so many people go through these situation health and mentally etc. his a Great actor . Especially being a Korean actor and actress and making this drama it most not been easy . Cause so many countries don’t like dramas like this because of criticism judgmental as we humans are. Even actors and actresses have to be carful dramas like this because of the fans and viewers.

Mia • 2 years ago

He did an excellent job because it was hard to watch a lot of the time seeing his character in such a state.

Mel. • 2 years ago

Yeah he did because he was scarred emotionally, mentally and physically and saw this "issue" as something that made him less than what he is. Made him doubt his self-worth and battle with negative thoughts and anxiety 😢 Portraying this distress, the actor did an amazing job and the writing for the character too was good.

neko mao • 2 years ago

seems like u have no idea how his character even tho u watch all eps? seriously?
