goat mammoth • 2 years ago

Well that was big alright ๐Ÿ˜…...right for the head! I can tell the chaser didn't expect the broom to land so squarely. T'was her lucky day.

disqus_6MPygjnmdt • 2 years ago

Just what I was thinking๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉโœจ

Min • 2 years ago

it's not the CEO I wanna beat up.... the assistant!!!!!!! He thinks, he owns the agency.

Med_nut • 2 years ago

I think he is cute. He is doing that because he knows what they lack is recklessness and confidence. He is trying to burn them up on the biggest fire. And he fell for her long ago.

Really? In my view there was a better way of doing it than putting them down like he did today. Public humiliation is something I hate. But I don't blame you for being positive. Somewhere in my own heart, there's a tiny hope that he did this for their better future until it came to this.

Med_nut • 2 years ago

I agree on public humiliation, but a constructive criticism is better than a blank ghosting like her former CEO did. You need to know what you are lacking then only you can work in the right direction, what he said was all true, you are competent, you are hard working and persistent but you lack appeal because not a single staff member stood up for them. Being polite all the time and being under the shoes of everyone made them a joke to everyone, that's why he is trying to bring that rage and make them feel proud of themselves and know that they need to stand up strong and talk back when necessary. When he was holding the meeting for finding out if the group should be kept or not, he was talking as if he already knew that group is already the best in his eyes just needed an extra polish.

List of reasons why i pray the writers of this story don't make jenna end up with the ceo:
1) Ceo cha is an egostical jerk and only cares about money,,, and don't tell me any of oh she'll change his heart crap... I'm not saying he can't change his ways but this drama shouldn't end up being one of those ceo and employee stories mhnnn I didn't sign up for it

2) So far in the past 4 episodes Seo Jihan has nothing but help Jenna and he's always there for her which is why i wish that end scene i saw of the next episode was just to spite jihan or something.....

Therefore I pray that just because CEO cha is the 2nd main role of this drama (according to mydramalist) he should not i repeat SHOULD NOT end up with Jenna! Seo Jihan has been so considerate to get his heartbroken later :( I pray the Ceo just ends up having one sided love for her and that he is the 2nd main role because he eventually helps them in achieving their success.

PS. See you guys next monday. Can't wait for next episode >_<

Amanda • 2 years ago

I don't think the kiss is to spite jihan, Jenna it's to busy having to deal with her group's success to engage these petty games. I think it's one of her strategies to be able to make headlines in 3 days, perhaps there was some photographer around and she took advantage. A young failed idol singer in a apparent affair with the newer (and older) CEO of her agency is big news, specially if they already started on the rumors regarding her and jihan rumors of her

Min • 2 years ago

Love that theory! a dating scandal

Asia W • 2 years ago

CEO Cha is the ML. He is second in the opening. First is the FL, second is him.

Princess Butterscotch • 2 years ago

NOOOOOOOOOOOO down goes my hashtag Team JENAN :( https://media3.giphy.com/me...https://media3.giphy.com/me...

kruti jhala • 2 years ago

No. Ju han came first

kruti jhala • 2 years ago

No. Ceo comes in second episode. First mars are introduced, ji han and jenna meet to first.
Ceo is a villan here. He can't be the main lead!

Asia W • 2 years ago

It does not matter. I once watched a drama in which the main character appeared after a few episodes.

kruti jhala • 2 years ago

Just saw the reply now.

Well if he's the main lead; this drama's not for me :)

Ami Wu • 2 years ago

Well, isn't a clasic drama pattern? FL will love a jerk ML no matter how good second ML was? I hate it too, but mostly its end up like that

Sparkles93 • 2 years ago

Not me seeing the sparks fly with that TOXIC AF CEO and Jenna.... I got worried because I was praying his toxic butt is the second lead. No one likes him now!

Love that she held her ground and stood up to him. Queue the "no one talked to me like that before" trope LMAO. Ji Han has been a gem, he really sees their their talent, especially Jenna's, but he's hopeless here.

Wow this show is good, I have been amazed by the acting. Another good drama that makes me look forward to Mon/Tues. Superb

flowwitham • 2 years ago

Cliche plot, but the acting! 9/10.
Omo, it has been a while since I cried this bad while watching a show.

The death wasn't required to be incorporated in the plot, but again, cliche plot.

Hani's acting has improved a lot.

On the side note, people who mock others on the internet, I wish they stop being so arrogant. People work really hard for their life/dreams to come true, and even if they don't reach where they want to. No one has the right to coin them as failed, no one has the right to mock them. Why is it so hard to understand ?

Fire and Dream • 2 years ago

Well, the story is quite cliche and tropey, but the directing and the acting are superb. I really like the ambience and color scheme this drama has. The girls may come form idol background and newcomers in acting world, but there is no awkwardness in their acting. Special mention of Ahn Hee Yeon, this girl is a really good actress. When she cries, it feels so real. Like in real life if you ever see someone so heartbroken and cry, that is what AHY just portray on the screen. She also doesnโ€™t overboard with her expression like idols usually do out of habit while acting.

Btw, the maknae, is it just me or she really looks like Hyeri Girlโ€™s Day?

OMG same! I was thinking the same thing the whole time. She really reminded me of Hyeri! And
when she complained about things, she reminded me of Sung DeokSun (If you haven't watched reply1988, hyeri played duk seon in that drama) Also, am i the only who thinks Chae-Ah looks a bit like jisoo from blackpink in some angles and parts?

๋ ŒRen • 2 years ago

She's actually Solbin of LABOUM. Admittedly, I actually confused her for Hyeri in another drama a while ago aha

Kamala Parthiban • 2 years ago
adeena • 2 years ago

Same here I kept thinking that since episode 1, she resembles hyeri alot like alot this is the first time I've seen two actresses/idols resemble this much I even thought they might be siblings but that's not the case

here for mess. • 2 years ago

Hyunji is so ...... sis, people told you to get your attitude together and watch how you speak to people - including the ones who love you!

asroys • 2 years ago

how i am about to look like if ceo cha and jenna get together https://uploads.disquscdn.c...

Cincinn • 2 years ago

Sorry, but this pic brings up sad memories of the people who just died at Astroworld. Please use something else.

Don't speak such things into the universe the universe might hear you.... ๐Ÿ˜”

Amanda • 2 years ago

Why doesn't anybody ask director Yoon to just shut the heck up and stop butting in on other people's conversations?? He's seriously the most annoying character for me

goat mammoth • 2 years ago

And so today, we get the reason it's called 'The coup'. It was obviously meant to be a one-man show by CEO Cha where he properly put Cotton Candy in its place after humiliating them. Side note: what he said was true though, their failure is not because they lack skills but marketability. I bet a lot of real life failed idols are really talented, it's just that timing and luck wasn't on their side.
Anyway, the one-man show ended on an unexpected note when his show was upstaged by Jenna and co. who refused to play the dance steps as CEO Cha wanted. I'm thoroughly looking forward to the coup in Starpeace Entertainment with fierce Jenna as the mastermind.

Mun ni • 2 years ago

i agree with u, actually CEO cha is right too as a CEO he can't take steps emotionally & though they are talented but the group members don't have unity ( one is selfish , one is clueless and other one is troublemaker ) the troublemaker is the most annoying to me some time i wanted to slap her seriously rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

goat mammoth • 2 years ago

Right? Half of the problems Jenna had to solve were because of "the-world-owes-me" Hyunji.

Med_nut • 2 years ago

I knew this is going to happen. Do I know the kpop world that too well??

Indeed. The kpop world is sometimes opaque and sometimes transparent. Scandals for popularity is not shocking.

Riku-chan • 2 years ago

THE KISS IN PREVIEW OMG NOW I HAVE TO WAIT FOR EXPLANATION?
I bet she did it in front of journalists or whatnot idk

Mun ni • 2 years ago

i'm existed for next ep

Princess Butterscotch • 2 years ago

I pray so

Princess Butterscotch • 2 years ago

But then again it would have been better to kiss jihan since he's a popular star you know but ehnnn hyped for next ep

goat mammoth • 2 years ago

Nah nah nah, if Seo Jihan get's involved then the rest of his groupmates will suffer too. Instead, making a scandal with the egoistical CEO is the right move. He gets all the blame by the media for 'being in a relationship with his own artist' and all sorts of stories start to fly enquiring whether the said artist receives any special favors as a result of said relationship with the CEO.
I'm telling you, people will see her as the weaker person and even blame him for lack of professional boundaries or something. Either way, he gets dragged through the mud.
I laugh with glee at the though of the mad rage he will feel. It will be like all the adrenaline he's been saving up all year from getting a thrill torturing people will flood his veins like a river
and all he will be seeing is RED. He's a narcissistic person, so knowing that he's been cornered by the rat he's been chasing and then even having to protect the rat(Jenna) from the wolves(media and the public) because Jenna is from his company will be absolutely maddening. I mean, if his company gets bad press=lower chances of the company being listed publicly. So even if he doesn't want to, he has to protect her...despite Jenna biting him.
Should he afterwards say that she's the one who seduced him, he will be attracting attention to the matter and the media will fly at him like vultures smelling blood. So he will do them a favor by getting them on the top search while doing everything he can to try and extricate himself from a spiderweb he can't cut through. I have to say, he is a good bridge to stardom for Cotton Candy. Good thinking!
That said, it doesn't change my mind on the Jenna-Seo Jihan ship which is a strong candidate for the end game.

Your explanation made sense and gave me some hope!!

*:ใƒป๏พŸ • 2 years ago

The illustrations for the words chae-A said, "We got stuck in here at such a young age, we were here for too long so we don't know how to get out" I felt so emotional by those words. In entertainment industry, especially now companies are rushing to debut trainees at such younger age. I was shocked to see an ive member debuting next december at 15 years old, a 2006 kid! them being exposed to the cruel industry where they should enjoy being childish, whiny etc at teenagers age. That is why I can't blame some idols in case here, Hyun ji. She's being whiny, I do hate how annoying she is but considering she debuted so young, being the youngest, she of course wanted attention from the other members.

I had to praise Jenna here like every episode she's taken my full interest. Hani is such a good actress her sobs and wails makes me tear up too ngl. She's next to chaeyeon in my list of idol to actress best acting. Also, I did hope for no romance since all idols dramas before this involving boy groups/bands are centered around only romance, I don't want to see it here..but oh well who wants to watch drama without romance ig this ain't that bad since the plot displayed a lot more of what I was expecting better than imitation

Bunny89 • 2 years ago

yeaaaaaaah she's gonna kiss CEO CHA in the next episode probably to obtain a scandal written by the reporter , all this to remain as cotton candy

Ulrich M. • 2 years ago

A thing that I like about what happened today is that Jenna and the girls know for sure that they are alone and against everybody in that company (staff) so now they have no attachments and can go ahead taking no prisoners while they cause havoc everywhere!!! Jenna wants Blood :D

maryana_ahmed • 2 years ago

PLZ NOT JENNA AND CEO PLZ PLZ PLZZZZ

amish234 • 2 years ago

I love enemies to lovers too much. I want Jenna with the CEO. I mean, even though he said stuff rudely, he wasn't really wrong. For some reason, I don't like Seo Jihan at all. Like he's too nice that it makes my head hurt.

Wait a min. Did the CEO try to kill JIhan or something? Like why tf would you take away someone's respirator?

Tsundere lee soo • 2 years ago

Not literally i think it is about his chance to become famous as idol singer

i hope so. i hope not literally cos that'll be the final straw for me.

kruti jhala • 2 years ago

No Never i am gonna accept that crazy ceo with jenna! Ji han and jenna can be great, but not that egoistic ceo! PLS NO!
