Oh for the love of Hela's nipples, Monica was trapped in the X-Verse because SHE NEEDED TO BE.

Also, in case you didn't notice, the movie positions Ms. Marvel as the Nick Fury of the Young Avengers, almost beat for beat, word for word. They are investing in that little girl.

I doubt the Young Avengers will get made now after the failure of the Marvels.

we will see with 'kang dynasty'...

Honestly if they're planning on placing all their bets on kamala leading the MCU then this is not going to end well for marvel.

Not knocking the actress at all but that character is extremely irritating to watch on screen. Not looking forward to anymore kamala in the future in any way shape or form.

Only in your opinion, I think Kamala is a great character.

Well as they say. There's somebody out there for everybody lol.

I had figured Carol and Kamala discussed it and as all they saw the second band do was rip holes in the universe, I even suspect Kamala would be hesitant about it. It could also be that they are technically saving it for the thing that will win in Secret Wars. Like, you have your fourth wall breakers who might be able to determine that this is a patched together world but the bands likely help reset them, but they would have to be used together, and I wouldn't be surprised if in conjunction with the ten rings. It would make a kind of sense that the two characters who have multi dimensional heritage and who have traveled to their other inherited dimension (however briefly for Kamala) work together to break the universes apart again.

Fell through a black hole into another universe for Rick Jones to find?

Honestly, I can't see what anyone likes about this movie. None of the characters except for Fury are really worthwhile and he's just hanging around in it for continuity. I liked Captain America because it was a strong female empowerment film. I dont think this one was positioned correctly at all. Handing off the baton only works if the next runner is as capable (or stronger) than the one who preceded it or can at least keep the pace.

It was a fun romp that entertained me & my wife an hour and a half. That's why I liked it.

peggy is still a sidekick to Cap in the end.

Just because the film wasn't for you that doesn't mean it isn't enjoyable for lots of other people, including me. I've seen it twice so far and am looking forward to watching it again.

Agree. I am just expressing my opinion :)

they are positioning Kamala as the leader of the Young Avengers. the "old guys" are just that.....old. so they have to bring in teams like "the Young avengers" and "the thunderbolts" to expand the universe. add to that Venom, which will figure into Earth 616(our universe) at some point based on the end credit scene from dr strange and the multiverse of madness, and Deadpool 3 bringing him closer to the X-men, and you have a natural pivot.

yes, Jonathan Majors court cases and being dropped as Kang means Marvel has to go off in a different direction, but i am sure Kevin Feige will figure it out.

Did they pay you to watch The Marvels? I wish they'd paid me.

The Marvels potential was squandered in the name of humor and lighthearted entertainment. I liked the chemistry between the three leads, but the whole back story with Carol Danvers making a decision which destroys the Kree home world and leads to the civil war with the Skrulls was infinitely more interesting than what we got. And it really didn't make sense that she could so easily let go of her guilt by the end of the film when millions died as the result of her actions. If they had delved into that back story, The Marvels would have given this current phase of the MCU a real foundation to the conflict between the Kree and the Skrulls. Phase 4 and 5 has basically been garbage with no coherent story line, which is a bizarre decision for Feige to make after the Infinity Saga.
