Hi Doug, I just came across this project when looking for a way to install brass pins into mitred corners on a project of my own. The finished product here looks beautiful, by the way! What adhesive did you use for the brass pins?

I don't see any plans for this, but really want to make one of my own. Would you mind sharing the general dimensions? Thanks.

Dale Boyer I'm so embarrassed! Apparently I have email notifications configured improperly for Disqus, and never saw this comment come through! I adapted my design from the plans from Rogue Engineer: http://rogueengineer.com/di... That link has the dimensions I used, though I did a few enhancements like dado and rabbit to join the frame (and I pinned the frame with brass rod). Again, I am so sorry for the delay in my response.

Also...although I'm retired and not actively using it, my BS degree was in Digital Cinematography, so I can't help but appreciate your videos. Just because you CAN do something doesn't always mean you SHOULD, and I've noticed there are (unfortunately) way too many people making woodworking videos who really shouldn't be. Yours is very professionally done, informative, and holds the viewer's attention. I especially like the switch-up of narration and speaking directly to camera. Good job! Can't wait to see more of them!

Dale Boyer Thank you so much for the kind words. I especially appreciate them coming from someone trained the field. I'm glad you mentioned the narration and camera switching as I will be recording the intro/outro for my next video soon (maybe tonight). I liked having the talking portion in the middle of my first video, but I didn't get a shot like that in my Banker's Station build. I think I know the part I can record for the middle of this next one - thanks for the reminder!

No problem. I've been out of the shop for a while with a debilitating bout of tennis elbow, so I've not been able to work on anything, anyway. Just went to the Rouge Engineer site and copied the plans. Thanks for responding. And just so you know, your version is FAR superior to his. Attention to detail, and little things like the brass rod make the difference between a craft and an heirloom. I look forward to your future projects!

Ugh, I'm sorry to hear about your elbow. I hope it calms down and you can get in the shop. Few things are as frustrating as having the time to get into the shop – but having an illness or ailment keep you from it!

More straight forward plans like his are awesome for people wanting to get into woodworking, or wanting to build a quick game with the family (and obviously, it prompted me to build one!). I just like challenging myself to try new techniques, different joinery, not using screws, etc (its different for each project) – and I am in love with working with hardwoods and clear finishes, which helps dress it up as well. Thanks for noticing the details!
